State legislature working on more high-density laws to take away local zoning

Livable California:
The 9 Bad Bills Were Approved by the Senate and Assembly. We Can Kill the Bills in July/August!

Each bad bill will be heard by just ONE committee in the “second house” before going to its “floor” for a vote in Aug. The legislature is doing a rush-job, but we can stop these awful laws.

  1. What is Assembly women Tasha's and Lorena Gonzales positions on these bills? Shouldn't we know now before we vote?

    1. Easy peasy answer: they support them. Gonzalez's name is on at least one of them.

Extrapolate to Blakespear and council from there. Party marching orders, dontcha know.

    2. Tasha took developer money during her campaign - she will sell out the area in a heartbeat (dollar). Vote her out..

  2. They'll do anything to get re-elected.

  3. Lorena wants to be the first FEMALE,LATINA gov of CALIFORNIA,she'll then put the final nails in the coffin of the state. 100,000+ people will leave the state and Lorena will impose an EXIT fee.

    1. California is WAAY too crowded these days. I would be stoked if a million people left. Shit, maybe 35 million should leave and it would be like Hollister Ranch everywhere.

    1. The right repeats the same things over and over again just like they were taught by Herr Goebbels.

    2. The left thinks and acts like children with A.D.D. They weren't taught by anyone to act like fools, they just are.

  6. If you love the state housing programs with crowded beaches like LA , you will love Blakespear, Hinze, and Krantz.

I rather preserve what ever little bit of laid back beach town feel we have remaining.

I hate LA and will be voting against all these incumbents.

    1. If you were alert and knew the issues, you'd know it's Kranz, not Krantz. Since you've posted your preferences about 100 times, repeating again and again turns people off and defeats your purpose. And you mean "I'd rather ..." That shows your carelessness, which means you're not thinking straight.

    2. We all know that Tony Kranz is a stickler for details, so thanks for defending his honor by correcting the spelling of his last name. His commitment to the truth is why he represented to a reporter last election that he had graduated from college when he told supporters that he dropped out to become a photographer. When his job as a photographer didn't work, he joined the Alaska National Guard. He showed up before his bunk was ready, and he became "homeless." According to what he shared in the community event at the library with Gaspar in December, that is how he came to be sleeping and living in his car. Because he showed up two weeks before his bunk was ready, this is what makes him an expert on homelessness and makes him qualified to make determinations on this topic for our city.

    3. 9:53- No-one cares how you spell Tony's last name. He is irrelevant.

And I rather is proper for me considering I am first person and rather act then talk about what I would do.

Continue to die grandma. You offer nothing of value anyway.

  7. US deaths from Covid-19 passed 150,000 today. That's more than the deaths from the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, Vietnam, and World War I, COMBINED.

Did you get the information from a leftist college website. Geeez...wise up dimwit.

    2. According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (citing U.S. Department of Justice reports), nearly 800,000 children are reported missing each year. That's more than 2,000 a day. These stats are for U.S. only. Why don't we get our priorities straight? And who benefits from not making it a priority? Not a single caller last night asked Capt. Taft what our station is doing to combat human trafficking.

    4. 3:21 Add it up? It appears you are either cross eyed, without any math skills even a 3 year old has, or, and I will still stick with the idea you were dropped on your head as a child. Perhaps your parents are brother and sister.

  8. 2:55- Thanks and I agree. This is crazy and should be the focus instead of killing our Country over a virus with a death rate between 0.0005 and 0.0008 including those really really old with underlying severe health issues who were well on their way to dying anyway.

    https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/data/mortality

For those who are not good at math. That means that in all of Encinitas based on 60,000 residents, we should expect 48 people to die from serious underlying health issues and also picking up COVID 19 before they die.

This is not a big fricken deal. What is a big deal is the way the public flocked to the fear and looked to the Government to protect them. This is both pathetic and really disappointing. I now have even lower respect for the average citizen. Most people are dumb as dirt and the government leaders have no idea what they are doing.

You know what is scary? The level of world pollution from humans, the human population curve, and the people in control of nuclear arsenals.

Now back to your COVID 19 shit show. Remember- Do not go outside. Especially, remember what the Phd said about surfing. Surfing will for sure get you killed by COVID. Its in the aerosol.

  9. US: 4.67 million cases, 156,000 deaths
    CA: 502,000 cases, 9,222 deaths
San Diego County: 29,111 cases, 561 deaths

Spreads like wildfire. Sounds serious to me.

    ReplyDelete
  10. its because you do not understand math and common sense.

Number of deaths: 2,813,503 in the USA every year, so when taken in context these are really low numbers.

    https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/deaths.htm

561 deaths out of 3,300,000 with many of them dieing any way is not a big deal.

But I understand you do not understand logic, so you get your news from the dirty laundry news and get all worked up.

remember to follow instruction, was the news, and stay inside because you will get COVID.

    1. 11:15 You're repeating Herman Cain's talking points.

  11. 11:15am.

You mean the Herman Cain that had cancer, was 71 and promoted eating a ton of pizza? That Herman Cain?

you mean the Mr Cain that was 71 and "had enjoyed good health in recent years, Mr Calabrese wrote, but added that the previous diagnosis with cancer meant "he was still in a high-risk group" in the current pandemic."

Sounds to me like he had serious underlying health conditions.

I never heard him talk about the above talking points.

It sounds like your pushing fear mongering dirty laundry crap.

Get your facts straight or stay inside. Its up to you.

    1. 7:58 Herman would still be alive as would hundreds of thousands of other dead if there were no such thing as COVID-19.

Economies have plummeted worldwide, tens of millions are unemployed, Americans are banned from most countries, a state of emergency was just declared in Victoria, Australia, yet some countries like New Zealand have very largely escaped the deadly effects of COVID-19 because they acted quickly and intelligently. Virtually all epidemiologists worldwide agree on the approach to be taken to defeat the virus, and where those means have been employed, they've worked.

But we should listen to an ignorant asshole who posts on EU. That means you, 7:58. You probably don't believe in climate change either.

  12. You guys are dumb as dirt. no one largely escapes the deadly effects... the death-rate will play out to about 50/100,000.

Fatter unhealthy areas higher death rates and healthy area wit lower death rates
