The issue is Hoebeck was too much of a disrespectful puss to show his face at the council meeting and the city councilmen enabled that cowardice by offering to show a video during public comments, ahead of all public speakers. Speakers who actually took the time to prepare and present in person.
The issue is Houbeck has been peddaling hate online for most of the last 10 years locally, and he still gets to sit on a commission. There has to be better backgrounding. He's not the type of person you want representing you.

The alternative to cutting down to 2 minutes would have been to allow the full 3 minutes to the first 10 and make the last 2 speakers wait until the end of the meeting to speak. By regularly packing the meeting with her. “I’ve got ‘em now du jour” speakers Beauchamp forces others into overtime. It backfired once on Ayers when he was later in the lineup so had to speak later.
