Animal Farm

“The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.”

  4. Yep, that's the YES team...hiding...you see us all over town, the people you signed the petition with, the folks handing out fliers door to door for the past 10 months, but somehow simultaneously hiding. Awesome control over time and space, in that case.

Anyone care to say who's behind "HOPE" crew? They hire their volunteers, none of whom could answer a question on Prop A to save their lives. Inquiring minds so far have dug up: Guerin, Stocks, and a consulting firm, "The San Diego Group." Talk about a dark place...!

    1. Funny I was never asked to sign a petition and no one has knocked on my door. Hmmm me thinks you imagine more than there is...

  5. Second to the last council agenda item #11 on city manager and city attorney performance evaluation forms. A question asked by one of the council members - can we do a salary adjustment before the evaluation? What in the world does that mean?

    1. What about an adjustment for the unemployment line?

    2. The best part is Shaffer asking Vina how he would like to proceed? Who is in charge?
Maybe Vina will give himself his review.

    3. Are you kidding me? Last week avian made a motion. BARTH AND SHAFFER have been huge disaapointments. If they don't start making better choices they will be finiahed in encinitas. Barth can just move away, Shaffer can move to one of those high density buildings near utc

    1. Thanks for your comments, Mike. Now go home to Oceanside and do whatever it is you do there...just leave Encinitas out of it.

    7. WOW! More outside money to defeat Prop A. Christy Guerin's group just received $10,000 to stop residents from having a voice in increased density and building heights.

  7. Animal Farm a la the city council subcommittee -- Now out and on the city website is the official doing away with time donations for public speakers.
What did the sneaky twosome of Mayor Barth and Deputy Mayor Shaffer say about doing away with time donations? We aren't doing that.
Read their full recommendation. Agenda item #11 page 7 C2.
Time donations sentence was replaced with the following:
If the speaker can demonstrate that s/he represents a group
with at least two additional members who will be present at the meeting, the speaker may be granted up to nine minutes to speak so long as the other members of the group agree not to request individual time to speak to the same item.

  8. Well well well... The Nobel peace prize winning president is taking us to war in Syria, bring the body bags.
In all seriousness the Russians are not going to allow the loss of their only port in Syria. So much for that peace prize... Eh Sr. presidente!!
