Car burglaries go unpunished

From the Inbox:
Car burglaries in some California cities are at crisis levels. Prosecutors say their hands are tied.

My street gets hit weekly. People don’t even bother reporting anymore.
From personal experience and Nextdoor.com posts, car burglaries seem to be common throughout Encinitas. Lack of response from the sheriff's department has led many people to stop bothering to report the crime.

What's your neighborhood experience?

Who is committing the burglaries? Vagrants, local druggie kids, gangs from out of town? Anybody know of anyone caught and prosecuted?

  2. Trash Pickers that the Sheriff ignores. They freely roam our streets looking your into trash and cars. When no one cares why should they. They should turn to shop lifting because this state doesn't prosecute anymore.

  3. It's a gang of white kids from Oak Crest. They go by the name Blanco Nightmare. You can see their graffiti all around town. I'm pretty sure they are nihilists.

  4. Once again, the left that runs/ruins California has made it clear in the law that these are low on the criminal lists of infractions. Another example of everything the left does fails. What is needed is someone with very little time to live start shooting and killing the criminals. The others might give a little thought to committing the crimes.

  5. Once again, the right that runs/ruins America has made it clear that they want to under-fund the police and California, which has lead to our police unable to provide services. Another example of everything the right does fails. What is needed is to vote the right out of office for their criminal actions. The other right-wingers might give a little thought to committing the crimes.

    1. 10:45 is the perfect example of mind numbing stupidity.
What "criminal actions"? And here is yet another example blanket thought. Make a blanket assertion backed by nothing and have other fools believe it. Like a child with A.D.D
Watch the eyes of a leftist, they cannot focus. Everything in a leftists life must be constant turmoil. Never happy and always angry. And always uninformed.

    2. 12;26. Get a clue dude, this post was mocking you. It gets even better...in two lines you condemn blanket thought/assertions then in the very next line make even kookier blanket thoughts and assertions. You are an idiot blame and simple.

  6. WiFi cameras are the answer. Building codes should require them above the driveway.

We’ve solved a few crimes in my neighborhood because 4-5 neighbors had video of the perp’s car trolling at 3:45am.

    1. The police won't show up because they are scared of Blanco Nightmare. They even stopped patrolling around Oak Crest because of the threat.

    2. Coppers are afraid of a bunch of punks? If they were getting shot at, it'd be understandable. White punks generally don't shoot at the cops in Middle Class neighborhoods.

Build the School, except not right now. Right now we seek an injunction to not build the school.

    4. BS. They are using the park as an excuse to halt the construction because they're unhappy with the new design.

    6. You are all wrong. Blanco Nightmare stopped the construction, because they use the vacant site at night for a meeting place before they rob the neighborhoods. They also sell heroin from the old school grounds. The cops won't do anything to stop Blanco Nightmare.

  10. I hate to say it, but the City Council direction is definitely going to spike Vigilantes. I for one take ownership of MY neighborhood that I worked hard and save daily too afford a comfortable life for my family.

I think the neighbors will be putting the hammer down on crime and the freeloader criminal homeless. Encinitas like its town and will not be sold out.

This City is made of up of all Non Working free loaders. They don't know what its like to have to work and save.

  11. Here is your City Council's vision for Encinitas. Thanks City Council, YOU SUCK!!!!

"He also lamented about conditions at the city site, especially with the influx of people from out of state.

“They’re having problems with the toilets now that there are 75 to 80 people here,” he said. “People are coming from all over … Kentucky, Florida, Iowa and New York. There’s more vandalism and crime. There’s more petty theft in the area. They’re hitting the 7-11, the 99 Cents Only Store and Albertsons. People wander around after lights-out and they’re not following the rules.”

  12. The homeless lot on Saxony is ill advised - it will spin out of control. Then what? The Sheriff's patrols will have to be diverted to control the area? These patrols are already spread thin - they don't need further dilution. Give the homeless a transit pass to go to Qualcomm Stadium.

    1. So that’s your solution? Every city try to push them off to other cities?

I don’t see how that solves anything.

    2. They already have established facilities there - and apparently they are not over-loaded. Why set up a minimal encampment mired in controversy if you already have the available resources in place?

    3. The trouble is, everyone thinks it should be another city’s problem to solve. Las Vegas was caught literally giving mental patients bus tickets to California. So what should we do, the same thing? Just every city buying bus tickets to somewhere, anywhere but here?

These are human beings. And if we’re going to spend public and nonprofit dollars, I’d rather have the money spent on services that could help get people back into stable living arrangements.

Most who become homeless are not permanently so. Helping to shorten the duration of the temporary condition is the only only humane thing to do.

      Delete
    4. Why is it always using other peoples money?? Hmmm? Same ol' garbage of "these are human beings". No genius, I thought they were Malibu Barbies.
Take them to your house, feed them food purchased with your money, buy them clothes...you do it. Leave tax payer money alone.

  13. I don't see how monetizing the homeless solves anything, either.

  14. The surfer guy gets it. Always been street people, always been bums and druggies but Encinitas has been able to manage those more unfortunate because yes, they are human beings and there weren't that many of them, and lots of those guys have died in the past 15 years. I've know 5 guys who lived in their cars and basically mooched of their friends but they weren't bat shit crazy. That's unusual. Living on the street makes people feral and add drugs to the mix and it gets dangerous. Challenge: go up to a homeless person, right now, and try to have a conversation. The Library is a good place to start. It is not our burden, as a city of Encinitas to try an heal these people. They need trained professional help, either for their mental state or their addiction. Herding them into a parking lot is NOT the answer.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No, it's not the whole answer.

But you left out the part where councilors and services would be offered at the lot, which is much more efficient and effective than trying to find people parked all over town.

      Delete
    2. All that is being offered is porta potties. I wouldn't exactly call that "services".

San Diego has a large public transportation system including a trolley. Encinitas has a small network of bus routes and one rail station.

San Diego has a large population, which of course means a relatively large number of homeless. Encinitas has a small population, which of course means a relatively small number of homeless.

Qualcomm stadium has a large lot for safe homeless overnight parking. Encinitas will have a small one.
