  2. Compared to the crap that was being sold in the booths, I'd say this picture is pretty good. I never realized the demand for Egyptian cotton sheets and the need for "Dream Interpretions". Pure velvetta cheese.

  3. Oh boy another street fair...Proving again that Encinitas really is Mayberry.
I love how Dodie Crawford say in the UT that the Enc street fair is the "friendliest" street fair...as if that can be measured. Where do they go to learn such doublespeak?? Does The California Mainstreet Association offer courses in "How to say nothing while saying something."??
Hey Dodie, how about telling us what type of revenues DEMA collects from the street fair?? How many vendors report or collect sales tax?? What is Encinitas share?? What does DEMA keep for themselves?? What does it cost to put on the street fair?? Police and fire?? Closing the street?? How much do the downtown merchants suffer from lost sales?? Tell us about the beer sales?? Tax revenue from Beer sales??
WE already know Encinitians are friendly. What nonsense.

    1. I didn't think Dodie would respond. Must be a nice world that DEMa lives in, no accountability to anyone.

  4. It's not just Encinitas. All street fairs by nature are pathetic and stupid.
