  1. Marco Gonzalez was there to make an offer to help the city get its HEU certified and get out from under the "constraints" of Prop. A. He proposed that the city simply "interpret" Prop. A as NOT a constraint and then face the legal consequences afterward. He claimed it would be cheaper, and he would represent the city pro bono. At the same time he managed to insult the city's legal representative from Goldfarb.

Blakespear was ready to swallow it hook, line, and sinker. She was all smiles for Marco. Obviously she had spoken with him beforehand. Kranz wasn't buying it. Mosca seemed confused, perhaps rattled by his recent termination by SDG&E. Hinze parroted her line about all her young friends needing housing in Encinitas and the need for multi-generational housing. Hubbard flipped from her previous position. It was a 4 to 1 vote to support Marco with a compromise suggested by the City's legal representative, who was very measured in his comments after the insult.

The whole thing was reminiscent of Marco's involvement in the Encinitas Hospitality Association's fight against the Deemed Approved Ordinance. It seems likely that there will be behind-the-scenes compensation for Marco if the city takes him up on his offer of pro bono representation.

    1. I heard Joe was terminated from SDG&E for falsification!

    2. I had not heard falsification, but I did hear it was for multiple, serious infractions.

You're drifting into libel territory for EU with this kind of gossip. And no, I'm not Mosca.

    4. Then those inside city hall should not be talking.

    5. Gossip between individuals is one thing, publishing it is another.

  2. The look on Blakespear's face when she sees Marco is nothing short of adoration. If I were her husband I'd be asking some questions.

    Just sayin'....

  3. Gonzales was very involved in Blakespear's, Hubbard's and Horvath's campaign! Why would expect anything else?

    1. Hubbard had smiles for him, too. Nothing though like the sunbeam smile Blakespear has for him. Hanging on every word like schoolgirl. Sad.

  4. Maggots like Gonzales thrive in a politically weak environment.

  5. Anyone else notice the parasite Norby against the back wall during the streetscam presentation? Ever ready to do the city's dirty work.

Dude was driven out once, leaving in a "resign or be fired" move. Our memories are long where this one is concerned. For the rest of ya'll: http://encinitasundercover.blogspot.com/2013/07/peder-norby-resigns.html

  6. Marco loves to crap in his own home. Sad but true. What a dirt bag.

Then he complains about crowded beaches and breaks. ??? internal strife.
