Muirs, Shaffer leaving town?

This summer we learned that local politicians Maureen and Mark Muir were selling their Encinitas home and apparently leaving town, according to private detectives hired by the teachers' union.

Now we hear former councilwoman Lisa Shaffer has listed her home for sale, though it's unclear whether she plans to live elsewhere in the city she helped densify.

  1. HAHAHA that Shaffer, what a fraud! She's claimed all along she that welcomes the high density across the street from her house because of all the affordable housing it will bring.

Guess she doesn't want to be anywhere near "those people" after all!

    Good riddance to this fake!

  2. She was awful on council and she shows her true spots now. Another one of Blakespear's fauxgressive allies.

  3. No surprise here. The rumor is that she is moving to Carlsbad. She couldn't take the criticism she got when on council. She deserved it all and even some more. When she made the motion to deprive Gaspar of the agreed upon sharing of the mayor position with Barth, it was unimaginable that anyone could stoop so low.

    1. Wait, you mean after the Republican led council did the exact same thing to Barth?

    2. What aboutism won't fly, 3:26. Shaffer advertised herself as the ethical one who was morally head and shoulders above the riff raff.

  4. Shaffer will have to disclose to buyers the hundreds of stack n' packs going in across the street AND the crazy traffic. She could be sued if she does not. Given her questionable ethics I wouldn't put it past her trying not to let on.

Know her realtor? Let him know, if she doesn't disclose he has to: Jon A Schwartz with Pacific Regent Realty.

    1. Shaffer should really consult an Ethics professor since she is a disaster.

    2. Haha. When she ran around telling everyone she was fit for office because she was an ethics professor, she forgot to include the bit about how she was a CORPORATE ethics professor. Explains a lot doesn't it.

  5. Yeah. She and her realtor will need to disclosure that the hundreds of units across the street do not have adequate parking spaces on their site, so Kristen Court street frontage parking will be full with apartment dwellers parking and doing all those things that apartment dwellers do and $1.8 million dollar box newbies just LOVE :)

I can't wait to see their faces, when those apartments start filling in!!

  6. Jon A Schwartz with Pacific Regent Realty. Tell him what Shaffer and her marine hubby won't.

  7. It sounds like Shaffer and her realtor Jon A Schwartz (Geez- nice job Shaffer of using someone with some ethnic diversity for your realtor) has an Ethics dilemma on her hands. Will Shaffer and Jon A Schwartz disclose that her Kristen Court will serve as a parking lot for the hundreds of apartment units about to be built across the street?

  8. The truth shall set you free~!

It can also place you in prison!

It was the best of times.

It was the worst of times.

  9. Ethics professor? I feel for whoever hired any of her students. She has always lacked ethics for herself while messing up our city politics.

I now get it. Corporate ethics. All the difference in the world there.

As the ice queen she always personified, good damn riddance. Too bad her move is not further away to where she would not be interfering in our city's issues. As it is, she will still be doing damage as usual for her.

Why Catherine ever listened to her from the beginning of her reign, is what it is, a further stain on her reputation. Not surprising that her time has produced so much unnecessary strife when you have a person with no ethics.

Gawd spare us any more of her interfering from the sidelines and backlines. At least Danny knew to bow out and stay out.

    1. Danny had no choice - the sound of kitchen appliances was too appealing. Not to mention preferential loans...

    2. Danny did not know anything about how to bow out. He had to. He blew his mouth off all over town, outed himself, had to step down, and nearly went to jail. All Danny's choice.

Now look at Kranz and watch him closely. There's a reason he's called Dalablabber.

  10. Blakespear called Shaffer "an intellectual powerhouse." More like "an intellectual fraud."

Birds of a feather so no surprise Blakespear worships Shaffer.

  11. Why doesn't Marco come on here to defend Shaffer?
