Nick Petro sat on the Moonlight Beach sand to make a phone call Tuesday night when a man in a ski mask put a gun to his head.
The armed robbery victim says it was around 8:30 p.m. and pitch dark when he put his back to a wooden umbrella on the desolate north end of the beach. While Petro was talking to a colleague, a masked man approached him from behind, pulled out a gun, and demanded everything he had.
That happened to me at Beacon main break today... It was clearly my turn and my stoke was stolen.
ReplyDeleteCan I find pro bono representation on this one?
I need to be made whole. Or at least have my stokage repaired.
10:15 - You'r an idiot. Every town has one and ours has many.
ReplyDeleteNick message was spot on. Good job Nick.
9:47 - don't leave me hanging here... did the guy ever get his bag? Or was he stiffed?
ReplyDeleteGeezus
ReplyDeleteThis kind of thing will only increase under the mayor's campaign of compassion. Keep moving, nothing to see here.
ReplyDeleteThe armed robber now qualifies for City council!
ReplyDeleteThanks can only go to our mayor for encouraging every and any homeless person to come to our town, whether they have vehicles to live in or not.
ReplyDeleteOne would have to be blind to not notice the influx of those unfortunates to our town.
The other supposition is that our council knew full well what they were doing and chose to encourage any homeless person to come to our shores as a way to act, and that this all this issue is about, an act, in allowing a property that has its deed restrictions on developing their property beyond what they bought into.
Meanwhile, we residents are dealing with a never ending influx of homeless persons who degrade our environment every damn day.
We have always had a few local homeless characters who many came to personally know, and they never presented problems like what we now have.
This responsibility can be no ones fault other than our mayor and her all too obliging council.
Our town is suffering needlessly in order to allow funding to an organization that is only in it for the money. That 5% of the funds raised, makes it directly to helping the homeless, should have been more than enough of a signal that this was compromised from the get go.
Now we are dealing with armed transients robbing our residents while simply sitting on the beach trying to enjoy a sunset.
Do we now have to arm ourselves in order to enjoy a sunset?
It appears to be so. Sad, does not approximate what we have lost.
Does a less fortunate homeless person, whether they live out of their vehicle or not, have to lose his life for this to become clear to our clueless leaders?
Yet it is the residents who speak out against the dangers to themselves and vulnerable participants in the overnight parking lot who have been vilified and labeled as anti-homeless. From the beginning, critics of this project have asked for higher standards of fiscal accountability and more humane conditions than having people living in their cars.
ReplyDeleteBlakespear will provide a hanging pine tree air freshener for their car if they vote for her.
ReplyDeleteSorry, you guys sound like fucking idiots. Robbed at gun point at Moonlight? Only an idiot that wants attention.
ReplyDeleteDid you guys also tell you mommy she should ask for your wetsuit back? PUUUUSSSSSSIES. And I mean that in the best way.
DeleteGood Morning!
ReplyDeleteIts Nov 1 and Mayor BIAspear is continuing her project of converting Encinitas to a Big City.
Big City high rise ghetto apartments, big City traffic and unsafe streets, big city crime, big city vacation party rentals, big city pollution, big city guns being pointed to our residents at the beach and big homeless populations!
BIAspear can't wait until Encinitas experiences all the joy of Venice Beach.
You might as well bar your windows and put up the 6 ft high front yard fence with razor sire, because thats were we are heading.
BOOPO!
Its Nov 1 and Mayor BIAspear is continuing her project of converting Encinitas into a SHITHOLE COUNTRY
ReplyDeleteFixed but True True True
Lets Go BrandonSpear!

Everyone should read the brilliantly concise summation of Blakespear's ambitional motivations on the Encinitas Guerrilla's website posted 10-18-21. It is entitled "Blakespear looks forward to Goodson Groundbreaking".. It is accurate and precise - Blakespear must never reach the State Senate.
ReplyDeleteLet's Go Brandon.
DeleteHow original....
DeleteWeekends With Brandon
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe how inhumane and crass these disgusting conservative folks saying say 'Lets Go Brandon' are.
ReplyDeleteThat's so disgraceful and offensive.
People who say this should be locked up and tortured by the police and the feds...
Oh wait...

Brandon who? No one but yins are uttering his name.
ReplyDeleteIt is my understanding based on the incredible and lighting quick research recently at the cDc and fDa that the term Brandon is now synonymous with both dementia and poopypants.
ReplyDeleteTrust the sCIeNcE !
Bingo !!!! I understand that biden now thinks his real name is Brandon. Why? His caregivers told him so.
Delete9:51 - weirdo shifting creep.
ReplyDelete9:51- sounds like he has Brandon pegged. The world clearly knows Biden has dementia and likely poopy pants often. My prediction is he will be pulled by his keepers in early 2022 and Ms. Harris will be our first women president and the only president with Indian and Jamaican parents. I'm sure she will do a better job than Brandon and Trump combine.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile at home, Encinitas continues its path to destruction with BIAspear promoting the homeless industry, and overpopulating the arid desert we live in by the beach. homeless filled big town, not nice beach town. Thats her vision.
Remember free services to all homeless and build, build, build and oh yeah, we have to ask you to stop using water and we need to tax you more for your 100,000 new neighbors. Nice.
Everyone knows Biden has dementia and Blakespear is owned by the BIA.

If Blakespear was a Republican she'd still be owned by the BIA.
ReplyDeleteBINGO, 8:43.
DeleteGet over your parties, people, and look at the individual. She's killing this town.
Gonzalez on Versnooze fb page has to bring in reinforcements once again to help sell his "affordable" schemes. Can't manage his own arguments without bringing in attack dogs.
ReplyDeleteSaw that his bud from Solana Beach Joe Jaffee. Often carries water for Gonzo when he's can't deal. Which is often
DeleteAnd especially now with the muzzle on so tight?? Rumor is dude's been bad for business.
DeleteHas Mayor poopypants ever had a real job?
ReplyDeleteSerious here and not spitballing.
Has Mayor poopypants ever worked for a paycheck or had a business where one must get up in the morning and produce something to have food on the (farm to) table?
Or has it simply always been grift off the public dime?
Asking for 53,000 he/she/it friends.
She was a reporter for the Associated Press. That's not an easy job, and it's prestigeous.
Delete7:22 - guess you're sucking the tube on this one. Maybe you should do a little googlin' before you run your vomit-hole.

I've got an "up-with-people" idea. The Encinitas Library is actually using an LOCAL ARTIST (let me repeat that; a local artist,) to paint a mural inside the building.
ReplyDeleteAnd his work is very, very good!
