Cremona announces for mayor

 Coast News:

I’m pleased to announce my candidacy for the office of Mayor for the City of Encinitas. I will run as an Independent/non-partisan candidate (NPP).

[…]

As with all growing cities, change is inevitable. But change requires good stewardship. Like my fellow residents, many of these changes are concerning, while some are outright alarming. Many residents feel overwhelmed by the amount of housing projects the city is approving and are frustrated by the lack of infrastructure to support the thousands of additional units looming on our horizon.

It’s become clear in the last few years that city leadership disregards residents’ input. It seems the growing concerns over housing, traffic, crime, homelessness and our loss of open space are becoming endemic in our community and a new voice and different solutions are needed.

  1. I am so excited that Cindy has entered the race. We need someone to represent residents and not special interests! She is exactly what we need after years of lazy, worthless, and compromised Tony Kranz, who seems to be seeking the job of mayor again after an unsuccessful bid. We have to flip the council.

  2. Cindy and Jeff need to have a surf off and see who is the bigger kook.

    1. 1:09 is Marco's post copied from Encinitas Politics where they drink his slop.

    2. So petty. Who cares how someone surfs? How about selling out Encinitas every chance you get like BIAspear and Gonzalez. Now that garbage stinks and is toxic.

    3. They probably surf better than Marco

  3. 1:46: Hey, let's be accurate. I said I'd vote for the Cardiff Kook before either of these two. But I totally agree with the sentiments of the post at 1:09!

    1. Thats cool. Thanks Marco. That means many of us will vote for her. I think you and BIAspear are toxic for Encinitas.

BIA almost lost last Mayor election to Thunder and BIAspear is done in Encinitas. This state's voters are pretty ignorant and blue so it would not surprise me if the fools vote her in the state senate, but they have no idea what a clueless idiot Blakespear truly is. Shame, Shame, Shame.

    2. Hey Speedy G - you are a despicable, greedy hypocrite! You and Blakespear are the epitome of greed and self-interest.

  4. A recently posted comment on FB that seems appropriate "Sadly right on cue Encinitas's own 'It" couple Marco and Mali, have the hits coming against Cindy already on EP and that is just on one post of 56 comments 50 % of which come from the "It" couple. For those of you old enough to remember it reminds of the Paul Winchell and Jerry Mahoney show or for the younger crowd a bad imitation of MSNBC's Morning Joe."

  5. Margo, sic, sick, is the gift that keeps on giving and with Mali partnered up, even more so.

Margo, do keep it. This community appreciates all the votes to come that are the result of your particular brand of advocacy, if it can be called that.

I can think of other terms that would apply to you even better.

    ReplyDelete
  6. "It" couple describes those two perfectly. With Marco writing her lines and pulling her strings and Mali rumored to be running for mayor nothing can stop them. They put any Hollywood power couple to shame. They've got plans for Encinitas and this country. "Get on board or get out of the way."

  7. Blakespear - tries to intimidate citizens who want to participate in the community interests, wants transportation taxes, puts unqualified cronies in positions of power, caters to developers to accommodate their profit margins, ignores sensible urban planning models that don't overload resource availability, seeks higher office to further her own agenda, etc. etc. Vote against her attempt to reach the State Senate - she is toxic.

  8. Jeff for mayor?

I can see some of the current powers that be supporting his candidacy in order to split the votes for Cindy.

This has happened previously for those with a memory.

Nanninga was used by Stocks and Muir and company to split the vote successfully.

Rachelle lost out. Bob lost out. Stocks and his crew won.

Jeff, please be aware of the greater good that our community desperately needs.

    1. Muir - the pension hog. Quarter million pension for sitting at a desk for 15 years - pretty sweet deal. a dozen or more just like him - Encinitas is millions in the hole on pension deficits.

      Delete
  9. Rachelle was also the victim of an illegal roto call that accused her of supporting junkies because she stated somewhere that she supported needle exchange programs. So, candidates, be careful what you put on those forms. Someone breached the Dems office on Valley in Carlsbad to gain this information.

  10. Jeff needs to drop. His megalomaniacal imaginings that he's the only one who can save Encinitas knowing nothing of the many issues is nothing short of unhinged. If the wife is the family breadwinner she'd better get ready for a hit to business. Jeff's ravings will be made front and center by It couple Marco n'Mali. Just think what the dynamic duo have planned!

    ReplyDelete
  11. 12:34 and 12:36 - Ramble much?

WTH are you talking about? Jeff needs to drop what?

and.... you give Marco and Mali way too much credit. The "It" couple....pfff. More like the shit couple. I hope Mali does run for something. It could not get any better!

  12. As usual we have different points of view. In the stack above, 12:34 and 12:36 have a rational, well-informed point of view, while 2:26 has a bat-shit-crazy point of view that would ensure getting assholes elected.

    ReplyDelete

    1. 2:26 has got to be a watch dog fringer. Says a lot about their candidate.

      Delete
  13. Bottom line: Jeff comes across as a deranged version of the guy with the dog and possibly less informed, if that's possible. He simply will not get the votes but in his mind and that of his followers, he's the messiah. Scary.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I admire Jeff's passion and his heart certainly seems to be in the right place. That said, he's far too rough around the edges for most to buy-in. By entering the race, he WILL split the vote, thus allowing for an easy victory for his own worst enemy (Mosca/Kranz). Jeff has to know this. He needs to take one for the team here and drop out ASAP or we all lose.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Totally agree. Anyone who speaks in terms of "blowing things up" instead of actual proposals on issues has no place on council. He'll be handing this town over to Mosca or Kranz if he stays in the race. The problem is, he doesn't see it this way.

  15. Morris is a home-grown lunatic. As a candidate, he's a novelty act like the guy with the dog.

So far, he's the only mayoral candidate who has filed his intent form with the city clerk:

    ReplyDelete
  16. Loyalty to...who, exactly? Morris, the unwound newcomer whose only questionable contribution is to spout that he's "the only one" who can fix homelessness and other Encinitas ills? Please. His wife doesn't even know if he's running as a Dem as "I don't understand that stuff" or something to that effect.

Kranz, the betrayer on virtually every issue? Who do you consider worthy of loyalty, 5:54?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Loyalty to a lunatic? What's that worth? The only effect Morris would have is to spoil it for Cremona.

If Cremona and Thunder are elected, we might get the staff and council working for the residents.

Kranz betrayed his heritage. He's not a trustworthy person.

If voters are dumb enough to elect Kranz or Mosca as mayor, bye-bye every remaining good in Encinitas.

  18. I feel like we have Lword talking to herself again on the blog. Could that be? She has to be like 110 by now right?

I thought she could not find her way to a keyboard 10 years ago more or less today.

But then, who else could ramble such ramble?

  19. Nice work setting up this bogus scenario..
Maybe we can focus on the incumbents and how they've represented the vote in this towm. This place is Hooterville on steriods. So many greedy people. As a long-time home-owner in Leucadia, i just want stability and a city hall that is not corrupt. Today, we have questionable - corrupt people in office. Blakespear is not interested in Leucadia.. and we should recipricate.

    ReplyDelete
  20. The worst case scenario: Mosca/Kranz win in conjunction with a Blakespeare promotion. This town will be absolutely fucked. She will make Encinitas her "exemplary" city, implementing all of her bullshit at the next level with little to know resistance from her pet mayor. This cannot happen. Jeff, please don't be selfish, remove yourself from the mayoral race.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Excuse me. I didn't hear or see any reference to Jeff in the Mayoral race. Can you please share. And you can wish all you want but I hope we get numerous candidates. You know this is not a two party system right?

IMHO that's what is so wrong with our State and Fed electeds.... and there is really not much difference between the two.... It all part of the game to keep the minion minion and the top .01% the top .01% in power.

  22. List of 1st world problems- https://www.cnn.com/2022/02/20/us/california-police-helicopter-crash/index.html

Carlsbad residents are lucky. They do not have Police that waste well over $10k per day joyridings in helos spreading pollution throughout the County all in the name of helping find little old misplaced Johnie. What a fricken waste of tax dollars and irritant spread on to the public.

  23. 9:13 excuse me. You must live under a rock not to have seen Morris' multiple announcement postings. Stay there.

If you're not Verdu, you're Gonzalez and if not Gonzalez, then his alter ego Mali. Have fun in your trough.

  24. The cretin who continues to bring up Lynn, deserves to be run out of town on a rail, or tar and feathered.

The boy man/child who passed on appears to have left a willing poster behind. Slimy mikey fits this like few others.

Dear Lynn, you do not deserve, and never have deserved such attacks when it is well known you rarely post, and when you do, you tend to use your name.

Yet, the slime master continues. He has nothing else to offer.

  25. 1:41pm OK.... Lword. Whatever you say... nice rambling rant.

  27. Not Lynn, again and again. The truth has never mattered to you.

I will defend Lynn every time against your attacking her.

Your cognitive powers are waning as they have for a decade.

Pitiful that this is what you do with what you have left of the few years remaining.

  28. OK, OK, Jeez, WTH... so there are two of you that sound just alike. I get it.

Anyway, how's that street diet and roundabout thing that is built right in front of you home working out? Wasn't there another redshirt in your neighborhood that would nearly stroke out every-time he would cry to City Council, "You can't do that firetrucks will be blocked and people will die!"..... ah the old redshirts. Those were the day! Aren't most of those old geezers moved on to the next chapter? I guess you're still around, so there may be one or two others still kicking.

So I guess we get to see if all your doom and gloom regarding reducing lanes will cause gridlock, right Not-Lword? I can't wait! So good.

Oh yeah and every time I drive in that area I always drive down your street and park in front of your house! Your street has great parking for the area. Thanks for sharing. Sharing is caring and have a great Sunday!

OMG I give...you pegged me... This is Slimy Mike from Oside!

    Peace out Not-Lword. Hugs!

  31. Thats so Awesome. You have to love the BIAspear vision. Vibrancy - drugged date rapes, stabbings, ramming cars into crowds, welcoming the homeless crackheads to beg and steal all over town, and open development to quickly convert a formerly cool beach town to just another LA slum beach town.

Nicely done BIAspear and to all those of you that voted for her.
