  1. Time to check his cell phone usage. Smart phones? Not so much, more like dumb phones when they are used when they should be shut off.

    1. Yep...
It was in front of the Smart and Final, not to smart and indeed, it was final.
And lastly, it's a power pole.

    2. If we’re being honest, this kid probably wasn’t headed to Stanford and a career curing cancer.

    4. If you need it explained, you aren’t curing cancer either.

    5. 7:37- If you have kids, I bet your kid has major parent issues. Just sayin'

Lets hope you didn't spread your rotten seed.

  3. That same day I was at a stoplight and saw a moto rider pop a wheelie when the light changed. I would like to hope that it was not the same kid who died shortly after, but.... pop a wheelie once, pop one whenever you want .

The parents must be crushed that they bought this moto for their son to begin with. Sympathies for their loss. Not so much for buying him a moto to begin with.

I rode moto's for a while, mostly for exploring Baja's back roads and trails looking for a special surf spot of my own. Somehow I never went down but there were moments when my heart stopped in some soft sand. I also rode one around here for a few years very carefully and not agro in the slightest. I don't remember ever pulling a wheelie like I saw that same day. I was older than this kid and wiser. I knew what could happen if I didn't.

Condolences to the family for your loss.

    2. 6:11...you are spot on. I don't ride as the danger is over the top. I've seen my share of D.O.A's as a medic.
