Leucadians never forget

City insider and Fox Point Farms developer Brian Grover is reportedly active on local Facebook sites recently, prompting one long-time Leucadian to bring back this public comment from the Streetscape meetings.

  1. Proving yet again that for whining NIMBY's the only acceptable development is no development at all. They got theirs, now screw everyone else.

    1. Grover playing the good guy in a halo name calling anyone who disagrees with him proves nothing. Yet again. What a douche, as Pam would no doubt agree.

    2. Yea, jam wall to wall 2/3 story condos in an already overloaded infrastructured community. People should have a say in the development of their community; the NIMBY routine is supposed to negate the issues of practicality and common sense in urban development.

  2. Old news - who cares? Yes, he's an insider and yes, his projects get green lighted, no matter what. What else is new?

Quit your bitching and start thinking about who is going to run for the mayor's seat and Hinze and Blackwell's seats. Maybe this time the activists can actually get out of their own way and get it right. Just keep Thunder out of it or expect nothing to change.

  3. The point is his mask slips and he’s innocent like he tries to portray. Someone should ask about Keith Harrison‘s lawsuit against him for encroachment on a right of way. kind of delish to see one city hall insider developer go after another.

  4. Brian, why don’t you come on here and defend yourself? And next time don’t send speedy G to do it anonymously, doesn’t help your look.

  5. You anonymous kooks just can't admit it when you're wrong. Only a fool doesn't agree Streetscape has made Leucadia significantly better.

    2. My guess is few if any Leucadians who live west of 101 think that Streetscape had made Leucadia "significantly better."

    6. The developers' hypocritical Clown Jester Speedy G designating the "fool" category? Pave it over and line the Jester's pockets with cash - he'd fry Orcas into tacos for the right price.

    2. Saw it with my own eyes, squeezing bikes into traffic suddenly at roundabouts isn’t exactly brilliant.

  7. Here are the facts about what make our wonderful Streetscape so wonderful!

It’s the best thing to city has done besides the downtown Streetscape.

  8. Streetscape sucks, mostly because of three things, it’s poorly executed, it removed any semblance of character from Leucadia, in other words, it’s not very attractive and it’s boring, and it cost at least $60M. How did something so shoddily executed cost that much?

Does anyone notice how there are less people walking around throughout the upgraded Streetscape? I should have mentioned a 4th. Parking. The parking on the tracks side is awful. Poorly planned and executed. The wooden moulding along the base is already falling apart and crossing the street from these pods is dangerous.

Marco doesn’t have an independent thought in his head. Everything he stands for was created by someone else. Pathetic, even for an attorney.

  9. I don’t get it.

So he had an opinion on Streetscape and shared it when the City asked for feedback?

    So what?

  12. Grover's mask slipped, not the first time (ask the folks at Sunshine Gardens and him reneging on their deal or Harrison about the lawsuit he had to file against Grover). The takeaway: he's no do gooder, don't be fooled. End of story.

  13. This is why we cannot allow any Trumpers in local government. It's a violent cult based on lies. Ask every local candidate if they support the POS domestic terrorists. If they try to deflect or "both sides" or "independent" the issue, that's a Trumper. There's only one acceptable answer: I do not support this violent lying cult in any way shape or form.

This guy was a Trump appointee to the Dept. of State. He violently attacked capitol police on 1/6. Anti-democracy violence in support of the Big Lie is a feature, not a bug.

    2. Grover isn't a threat to democracy. That's the most important thing.

    3. Locally he’s pretty damned threatening. Bad player in a slick package.

  14. Calling on Grover himself to explain his own words. Don’t expect anything more than sending his pal Marco over to go on the attack.

    1. I can explain.

His words mean he thinks Streetscape is a good idea and that the City shouldn’t let a few burned out brain crispy old boomers get in the way.

      Most rational people agree.

We voted in people to get it done.

    2. Blakespear did very little for streetscape. She basically fucked it up. I not funding it all

Just like every other part of her racist life she’s just a mouthpiece, like our brain dead president.

The hard work was done by the community. And we thank them for it.
