The very few upper middle class bleeding hearts I think they’re actually doing something good by taking the slow moving train. I assume to have no ride because technology passed them by..
People actually only use fast clean mobility options like the bullet train in Japan or E bikes that go 15 to 50 miles an hour. Why would anybody get on a coaster train for a slow polluting ride down the coast if they didn’t have better things to do with their life?
North County transit disaster (NCTD) is continuing to pump 10000s of millions of dollars into this sunk cost. This will go down in San Diego history as the biggest fiscal lemon and history of. San Diego County.
Tell your elected officials to quit funding this complete wasteful program. Bruce Ehlers is on the Sandag board representative. Please don’t pour more public taxes down this money pit. sunk costs are just that unretrievable wasted tax dollars.
There are times with every failed technology, when you have to pull the plug. It happened with horse and buggy in New York City and the early 1900s, it happened with 8-tracks in the 1980s and now it’s happening with slow moving low use diesel trains on our beaches. It’s done. The rather obese lady is starting to sing.

ReplyDeleteSolution: so people can get across the tracks safely, and they don’t damage the residents and businesses north of Leucadia Blvd - do the same thing they have done for the past two underground crossings and for the 3rd underground crossing at Verdi. Jim claims we don’t have the money. You’ll spend a lot more money on the deaths, many injuries of people crossing those death traps, than it is going to cost you to do the safe, right thing for Leucadia would ever cost you.

ReplyDeleteI can't stand any of the councilmen, but Jim has to be one of the biggest assholes in the city. I get the feeling his agro-dork behavior in meetings is just the tip of the iceberg, and I've read staff hates/dreads working with him.
