  2. It is a sad, sad day when the people who fought to keep the San Elijo Lagoon safe as a conservancy allow/or taken over by a group that wipes out all that history with an inane name.

    1. So true! The private individuals that worked to protect his space from developers, namely Tchang & his 'San Eljio' of Lomas Santa Fe were ALL conservative conservationists, not left-wing environmental fascists. Look up the 'San Eljio Alliance' for the real history and don't let these environmental fascists hijack all of the fund-raising and conservation created by those volunteer conservatives. Collective's of any sort need the stay in Kibbutzim.

  3. Well its better than Blakespear (Development Whore) plan... she wants to develop Section 8 housing and put up homeless shelter in the lagoon area.

    3. 11:12-

You are the fricken Moron. There is section 8 housing all over Encinitas and Blakespear supports even more.

Your an ignorant JA. and the Developers Whore is a sell out!

    4. Incorrigible moron at 10:56 PM: There is no new Section 8 housing in Encinitas or anywhere else in San Diego County. The funding dried up years ago, and the wait list for the old units is about 10 years long.

At some point in your sad existence, you might realize that ignorance doesn't pay. Doubtful but there's always hope.

    5. idiot- You even admit there is still Section 8 housing. Plus it doesn't matter what they call it- Gov. subsidy housing steals one soul. You are basically selling out your liberty for welfare. Soooo bad, like crack.

Its all over Encinitas and the Developers Whore supports more of it.

I don't expect you to understand. You are likely one who take Gov handouts when you are not even really destitute, but that just who you are. Sad and soulless.

  4. Sounds like a good plan to me. Lets dredge it and make a marina. That will maximize the use so more people can enjoy it. Lets put it on the ballot and see if the Marina idea or the collective will survive.

    1. Sorry 6:36, Disney already had the idea in the 60's.

    2. Disney is weak on the follow-through. Let's make the marina happen!

    1. This sounds like an Encinitas Planning Department employee trying to be assured of work in the future when the real estate market crashes.

Let's not forget that we spent millions of dollars on consultants for the various iterations of the General Plan Update and the Housing Element so that as Teresa Barth stated, "We can keep planners busy." Other places, they would have just fired them with lack of work, but at the City of Encinitas, we have to create projects that our own employees can't do, then we hire consultants to do their jobs for them, Encinitas taxpayers get charged for the entire pyramid scheme that we never wanted nor needed.

  6. Regarding the name change of the organization:

(1.) It’s a private organization that can call themselves anything they want.

(2.) They don’t give a rats ass what you think, because (see 1).

    (3.) STFU, because (see 1&2).

    2. Ok, it's a private organization managing public land. Can they call themselves bf-ing buffleheads or where does this all-knowing group define a line?

  10. Since our mayor has come out supporting Olga Diaz for county supervisor, please know there is a viable choice to Olga and Gaspar.

Terra Lawson Remer. Google her qualifications for yourself.

Gaspar is a nonstarter. Send her packing to obscurity where she belongs.

Olga should be sent packing along with Kristen.

We do have a choice for a change.
