The gridlock was next level this evening driving from Poinsettia thru Leucadia. Poor road management, poor stoplight management, poor encinitas management combined with 1/2 of the population in LA driving thru.
Summer Track season is going to one for the ages--- Maybe set up a to go alcohol stand on the side of the road it may really spice things up.
It will be much more fun and wonderful when the moral abomination of a mayor and city council change the southbound lanes to one.
Just close the 101 Leucadia corridor to vehicles. Get it over with the see level rice will flood the corridor soon anyway?

True dat Phony didn't know there are consultants and costs that come with the "no cost" Equity Committee? He learned on the fly that the mayor *gasp* once again made a side deal? SOP with Dictator Blakespear. Why do they need consultants anyway? Mali not such an expert after all??
Hmmmm...speaking of "on the fly", no one ever mentions the pilot training in private planes that fly in circles over Encinitas everyday? All coming from Montgomery Field and flying over and over and over in circles over schools, tens of thousands of people, homes, the Sheriff Department etc. Montgomery Field management will do nothing about it. Next is Homeland Security as this could be a terrorist threat? Or file lawsuits against these flight schools. Yes, they fly from Montgomery Field directly to Encinitas and Solana Beach. 100 percent unsafe. Don't believe me? Go outside, watch and listen. The FAA does nothing after all my complaints...

There also needs to be special protections from tractor-trailer, oops-WTF-kinda-of-highway-is-this mistakes. To give an indication of the quality of this project one only need look at the quality of the speed tables or bumps in Leucadia - they are hugely different in their construction (height, bevel, levelness, etc.) There should be a specification and each table should be about the same. Unfortunately, the hacks awarded the job have no clue about consistency or building to specification. They ground a rough surface and then dropped and shaped an asphalt mound / flat in a haphazard way. This is a very good indication of the quality of work that is forthcoming. Shoddyscape!

Well the real story is the City hired a ton of unneeded employees. Mostly parks and rec, fire and lifeguards.
Secondly, the City in the past few years felt the need for more parks and facilities. $60 million for park, new fire stations at $30 million (for our princesses),$8 million for Moonlight beach, $11 million spent and Gawd knows how much the City could dream up for that PV place - I'll put a place holder of $20 million more totaling $31 million. Then you better figure out operations and maintenance per year. Add another 10% per year.... what do you have? - a bankrupt City.
I haven't even touched on the lawsuits for the City's failures.
Maimed Stephanie Berger-McKenna and then there Dr. Jennings Worley..... thats another $20,000,000 plus.
What a shit show. Can those of us along the coast sesede to move to a much smarter city council in Solana Beach or Carlsbad?

Honestly I would agree to massive property tax hike under one condition - to have the morally corrupt Enc city council and mayor removed along with the morally dead Governor as long as these people are shipped to fema prison camps in death valley this summer.
