  1. It's the "Swell" jerks who got shot down on Portofino. Thank your council who can't approve this crap fast enough.

  2. Kenos was a ghetto dump. But, look at that general business area, it's a dump. I'm not certain this can hurt it but it ain't purdy.
Two story isn't the answer but many two story buildings are already in the area on the same street so there is that.
Soon you all will get used to it, like bad sex, it just becomes a thing.

Gag me. Makes me want to puke, and I suspect, many others agree this Swill Property plan is as offensive to our community as their Portofino ideas were for a second story pool bar were.

Did Eric learn anything? Apparently not. The swill keeps on coming.

    Shameful.

  6. Attention all US citizens- This is not a test. This is a public announcement.

You must go to your closest point of vaccinations and get another booster shot for the new robocron variant. And in fact, two jabs which is much better than one. This variant is five time as contagious as the Omicron and will kill 95.4 % of those infected within the first week.

Do not go to Costco for toilet paper and do not walk near the beach surf zone for gosh sakes that will definitely get you killed.

And do not deny these facts that come from Dr. Falsie.

    Good day people of America

WTH is the british head of vaccines trying to do to Pfiser, JJ and the other jab company stocks? https://nypost.com/2022/01/09/uks-ex-chief-of-vaccines-clive-dix-calls-for-end-to-mass-jabs/

What a heartless soul I tell you. Ignore the data, Keep getting the jabs. Dr. Faslie says so. Do not worry about other effects from the jabs such as MS, or early Alzheimer's. You can trust the CDC.

  8. You are doing our community a favor, although it is not your intention.

Do keep on not getting a vaccination.

Do keep on not wearing a mask.

While you are at it, forget about washing your hands too.

    All in good time.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Why would I forget about washing my hands? I always use proper hygiene.

I look forward to seeing how the experiment works out on you. Thanks for volunteering for the experiment.

    ReplyDelete
  10. It is you that is doing the experimenting.

Proper hygiene during a pandemic includes vaccinations.

You do you, and the day will come when wish you had been vaccinated.

Everyone on the planet will eventually get vaccinated or become infected with covid.

    2. Agreed. That is what the fools always do. Watch they will call it Stone-steps point, or moonlight preserve. Or someother sellout name.

they should call it the BIAspear profit for which all the developers will make huge profits in converting Encnitas to HB.

Remember - Anyone who voted for BIAspear or the clowncouncil was the cause of this barf. Look no further than your neighbor.

And when you it takes you 35 min. to drive to trader joes each way, thank your neighbors again for voting for Newsome who approved SB9 and SB10 which our City Council did not oppose.

BIA and your neighbors caused this barf.

  13. Swell should be renamed Shell.
Try calling the phone number posted on any "managed by Swell Property" building in Encinitas. The person answering the phone is not responsible for the property that you've phoned about. They will need to take a message and forward to whomever, within the Swell shell of real estate is involved. Swell is a shell. That is their role... to take the heat, complaints, etc.
In encinitas, these kind of shisters are needed to lube the path for corrupt local self-dealers.

    1. When your council is funded by developers do you really think what the residents need will be answered by blakespear? "Staff" has hands-off marching orders. Voted for blakespear? You're getting what you asked for. STFU and sit down, be happy. Not aimed at you 7:37 unless of course you voted for her.

  15. BIAspear who guzzles Newsome's bile has destroyed Encinitas by converting it to HB. Now she wants to destroy all of the CA with horrible laws such as SB9 and SB10 which she supported by way of not opposing. Everyone of our coastal city neighbors opposed them. BIAspear and her clown council? Nope they welcome the destruction of our former awesome family surf town. Anyone who voted for BIAspear in the past is to blame for this. Do not let her future destroy CA.

I have to admit. I voted for her in her first election bid. I thought she would be good, but boy, was I wrong. Sorry. I will not make the same mistake twice.

The woman has no common sense. BOOPO.

    1. "Cool?" I'll give you this it tried to be cool. But it would have violated Prop A and after that there were too many issues that Swell (Swill) developers refused to address. They lied about the parking capacity, had fire code issues that "staff" forgot to notice and would have ruined the neighborhood behind. But ya know 12:43, guess you're good with that and more. Swell are sneaky creeps who bent code to the breaking point. Their version sucked just as bad, with worse issues and code violations. Did you have a financial interest in it or wot???

  19. Head on down towards Solana Beach and just before Del Mar, look right while driving. Same looking designs. If built, ease up on the paint scheme, it's horrid. The upside to using the same or similar designs is cost. Like a housing tract in the '70s.

  20. Has anyone asked Hinze about this swill idea of a development since it is her district?

Take any guesses on what her response would amount to, if anything? Or would she be too bored to bother herself to answer?

What else does she have to do but be bored when it comes to representing her constituency?

Being a newlywed must be tiring her out from the looks of her on the dais this past fall. Perhaps a little more caffeine in that giant sippy cup would be advisable.

We have to put up with so much 'stuff' from this council and can't afford to be bored like she looks most of the time.

When is the next vote? Yes I know it is Nov. and it cannot come soon enough. There is not a keeper in the whole group.

    Not a single one.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hinze is pals with Swell she said so at the council project review. It was one of the few times she came out of her trance to testify on their behalf.

She kept her giant sippy cup but at least stopped the onscreen yoga poses and neck cracking.

  24. The idea is that Swell will be the volume vacation rental company in Leucadia. Homeonwers can hand management (including neighborhood complaints) to a "management" company and the property owner can enjoy the rental dollars while the people who live in the neighborhood struggle to hold anyone accountable for the all-night noise. Swell is compiling a porfolio of properties that they intend to rent at VRBO or other short term rental units. They are also buying City support -for which they clearly have for support anything that they propose. Leaucadia will be riddled with these short-term rental units - party on!

  26. Special treatment and close relationships with council?

That pales in comparison to senior planners. It is as it always has been. Shameful. Absolutely.

When you keep a dept. stuffed with unqualified planners who owe nothing to us residents and everything to developers, this is what you get.

Quantify unqualified? Easy. How many of our planners are required to be members of the American Institute of Certified Planners?

    Answer. None.

How many of our city planners are members of this national organization? Answer. At one time there were two. One of them is no longer here.

My point is this, this organization requires its members to take yearly recertification classes that put the emphasis on keeping residents concerns paramount.

Little wonder why our senior planners are not certified. They would all be decertified.

If we ever get a new council majority, I hope we see a large broom do some major sweeping out of the planning dept. and require all of the planners to either become members in good standing with the AICP or find another job somewhere else.

    1. City planners are doing the devil's work to keep they're jobs. They're "professional staff" according to the mayor and mini-me Hinze.

I got solar over 10 years ago, its long paid for the install costs, and my electric bill is dirt cheap. Please I have electric cars and bikes. It feels good to not be polluting and burning all those hydrocarbons. I'm in my 60s and could care less about global warming, but if you don't need to pollute why do it?

Plus the e-cars and bikes perform so well and are quiet. If you don't have solar and an e-car or bike, I have to question your intelligence. Sorry.

  31. For the moron who posts here and denies global warming:

Global warming became local to a new and devastating extent in 2021, the sixth-warmest year on record, Axios' Andrew Freedman writes from new NASA and NOAA data.

Why it matters: Each year's data adds to the relentless long-term trend, which shows rapid warming due overwhelmingly to human-caused greenhouse gas emissions.
To see how much the world has warmed in many peoples' lifetimes, consider this datapoint from NOAA:

The world hasn't experienced a cooler than average year, compared to the 20th century average, since 1976.
The bottom line: The statistics contained in these reports are astounding, and drive home just how different the climate is today from just a few decades ago.
