ReplyDeleteI think the question regarding Blakespear is, how will she vote on progressive issues? Does anyone think that her campaign accepting donations from a Trump supporter means she's going to suddenly start supporting anti-abortion, pro-gun, anti-LGBTQIA+ issues? Of course not.
DeleteBut on the question of corporate landlords, you have to parse out the difference between product types. I have no problem with corporate landlords of multi-family housing (which is what Ranglas focuses on). The problem is with corporate ownership of market rate single family residences and the impact this has on availability for long term single family ownership and equity. It's an entirely different discussion though when talking about deed restricted affordable single family rental residences.

I just got two projects with 20% affordable rentals approved in Del Mar. RSF is part of the County, which has a lot of multi-family already. La Jolla is part of the City of SD, which also already has a lot of multi-family development. Encinitas was deficient and has a long history of not following housing law. Plus, I live here. That's why I focused my efforts here.

ReplyDeleteI'm reading the thread on his Morris 4 Mayor page where he is asked questions about his claims and he never answers, he just reacts! He sees everything as a threat or a confrontation, or he jumps to conclusions about why he's being asked.
ReplyDeleteDude, YOU are making claims and you are a candidate for office, so YOU are responsible for answering questions.
Helpful hint: view each question as another chance to convince us. Be specific. Don't just answer with "let's meet up". ANSWER so that anyone reading your page can see what you believe and where you stand.
Read the same thread that appears to be going on between Jeff and an attorney, who amazingly Jeff is being civil and not threatening with expletives and name calling. I wonder is it because it is an Attorney from Coastal Law Group or because he is not a female ?

Her approach to homelessness isn’t to do anything to help, but rather to move the problem somewhere else via police harassment.

5:19 If you're talking about the 2020 presidential election, the turnout was 67%. For the 2022 state Senate District 38 primary, the turnout was 35%. That's not terribly bad for a primary preceding a midterm election. That low in November 2022 would not be good.
