  2. He is not Tony Kranz!

Heads up- I just came across this on line petition to Recall Tony Kranz. Its on change.org.... It seems to have some good facts. Hopefully Stephen and other good reporters can check into it and do a story.

Lets go and rid ourselves of Kranz once and for all.

  5. Love this one -

Suddenly Tony Kranz is changing his colors and pretending to listen to the residents concerns.

Over the last several years, Tony Kranz didn’t care what Encinitas resident concerns were. Residents spoke out and he always failed to listen. Now that he’s running for Mayor he suddenly cares? Hmmm…

    1. Happily supported suing the residents over Prop A.
    2. Didn’t care about parents and teachers objections in regard to the homeless parking lot moving next to Oak Crest Middle School.
    3. Fire Marshal Anita Pupping’s lawsuit.
    4. Olivenhain’s residents objections to increases in BIA development that have become major hazards for local evacuees during fires.
    5. Caught receiving money from JFS for trip to Israel.
    6. Tony Kranz poor fiscal responsibility with failing projects such as Streetscape, Pacific View, non working charging stations, accident prone HWY 101 bike coridor.
    7. Roberta Walker settlement
    8. Accusations of Brown Act Violations
    9. Assault charges during a local SD protest
    10. Voted exactly the same as Blakespear for the last 4 years.

Is Tony Kranz Encinitas leadership material? Hmmm… I don’t think so!

  9. Years ago when speaking to a now former SD county commissioner, he asked me what I most lie to see addressed. Just then a train roared by with horns ablaring and I simply pointed to the train tracks that needed to be lowered and end the division of our community. His response was that no one from the city had ever pursued lowering the tracks in his time on the board. Yes, our man Tony was on the council at the time. This city has been useless in fixing or even trying to solve the division of our community. Yes, the costs are in the stratosphere now. Somehow Solana Beach was not deterred. Somehow Carlsbad is still pursuing lowering their tracks. Somehow Del Mar may luck out thanks to Mother Nature endlessly eroding the cliffs and move the tracks inland.

And while impersonating MAGA to make them look bad, they are also patriots, and acted like regular tourists, and were welcomed into the Capitol. And MAGA-world is very upset at the treatment of these Antifa MAGA impersonators who are making them look bad.

And all of this is explained by Trump calling the Antifa “very special,” and telling them he loves them, and recently promised to pardon them.

He’s going to pardon the Antifa who impersonated MAGA and made them look bad by acting like regular tourists.

The city needs to improve the flow of the section around Leucadia Blvd by replacing the shitty signal with a well preforming roundabout.

    1. For the umpteenth time, there's not enough room at the intersection of 101 and Leucadia Blvd for a roundabout — even one that matches the too-small ones at El Portal, Hermes and Hymettus, and projected for Sea Bluff driveway, Grandview and Jupiter. If you had any common sense and powers of observation, you'd see that for yourself.

      Delete
    2. 6:25- you are 100% wrong. There’s plenty a room for a roundabout at Leucadia Boulevard intersection. You just have to hire the right designer.

They designed a roundabout at El Portal, they designed a roundabout at La Costa Avenue, they designed a roundabout at Carlsbad Boulevard and State Street, there’s plenty of room to design a roundabout at Leucadia Boulevard.

You don’t know what the hell you’re talking about.

      Delete
    3. If it were possible to put a roundabout at the intersection of Leucadia Blvd and 101, don't you think the roundabout-crazy people who designed Streetscape would have done it?

Uh, have you noticed the steep slope between 101 and the RR tracks? Have you noticed that West Leucadia Blvd. is offset from Leucadia Blvd? Have you noticed the complexity of the intersection, with the RR tracks and Vulcan being immediately adjacent? Do you have any common sense at all?

And then they say oh well that was just an anomaly, it won’t work anywhere else…. Until it works somewhere else like down at Bird rock. 😀👍👏👏👏

And then they say well that really won’t work anywhere else that was just a weird fluke, and then it works great on Leucadia Boulevard😀👍…..

And then Sante Fe Ave….. 😀👍

And then Carlsbad Village Drive and State Street…. 😀👍.

Well normal people with good common sense understand and see the tremendous benefits of roundabouts and enjoy the more efficient traffic flow and less delays and safer for everyone and less pollution and more aesthetically pleasing…..

  22. So Jeff Morris- you have a dilemma.

You are running for Mayor and to date you have proven through your actions that you will flip on your key philosophical points, and attack women. You've claimed to have a degree from SLO but thats been debunked along with some other claims. I feel you have a credibility issue. If you really want to prove yourself, please lead the citizen's initiative to remove Tony Kranz from the City Council permanently, as either in his current City Councilmember or if he happens to win by a 4 way fragmented vote say with 26% of the vote, than lets recall him as mayor.

Tony Kranz is widely recognized as the town idiot and the only chance he has at winning this election is considering he is the incumbent and three others are slitting the remaining vote.

Encinitas can not continue to bear the onslaught of his bad decisions. All the issues and failings of Tony Kranz have been clearly outlined for you. You just need to do the leg work that others like Bruce Alhers and others did with prop A, and get Tony Kranz recalled.

Start Now. Doing so will be news and will not help Tony's chances of becoming Mayor. After the elections when he is not mayor, we can finish the process and remove him from the City Council for good. Capeesh?

So we will outline the issues for you again and please do something useful in the election. If you even start a legal Recall of Tony Kranz, I will give you my vote in this election and in future elections. With that said, the reasons why Tony Kranz should be recalled are stated below.

    Thank you,

    -Leucadia Voters

    ReplyDelete
  23. What makes you think Morris can follow any outlined directions, let alone head up a recall? Besides endless attacks on those who disagree with him and the inability to understand that in elections voters take sides, in the three years he’s claimed to ‘save’ Encinitas, he hasn’t come up with one single solution, helped any homeless or proven Encinitas is a den of non profit corruption. Hell, the guy hasn’t worked in 20 years and is only accountable for the three years he’s been spinning his tale of heroism and hate.

In other words, you want something done, do it yourself. Morris is incapable of much more than we’ve been witnessing the last 6 months.

But every somewhere else has people just like them whose solution to the problem is to send them back.

Thanks to Julie's conniving with Tony and Garvin, as well as their chosen sacrificial spoiler thrown into the mix (AKA Morris) and Bruce's unaccountable silence, the die is cast. The residents will be screwed again by scheming political wannabes who say one thing but do another.

Tony is lazy and will bully, prevaricate, dig his heels in and build, build, build.

If Julie is elected, the residents are going to find out quickly how divisive she really is. She'll sell out so fast the community's collective head will spin. Fact is, she already has.

  61. The NOW Leucadia guy who's interviewing mayoral candidates doesn't understand his role.

He should ask a question, listen to the answer, ask a related follow-up question, listen to the answer, and move on to the next question.

That's all. He shouldn't do anything else. No editorializing, no comments of any kind on the candidate's answer, no repeatedly saying "fair enough," which is a weird, out-of-context judgment, nothing. Just ask the questions, listen to the answers and move on.

While I try to appreciate everyone who cares enough to spend their time making our community better in their own ways, it is also good to know where people come from and I don't mean a previous location. More like where one's sympathies lie on which side of the political spectrum.

    2. He made a mistake by having Margo, Mali and Walsh on his podcast, that is, if he posted that podcast after all the severe criticism he got for suggesting it.

The basis of the criticism was that Wyer should have only candidates on his podcast so close to an election. He shouldn't host community activists whose intention is the sway voters.

  66. The merits of choosing margo, and mali and garvin the pompous one to interview at this moment in the election, is not doing your reputation any good and rightly so. You lost points of respect in an instant by that boneheaded move and it is a shame. You had been doing such a fine job until then. That interview should have been buried until after the election, if you had been paying attention to what they have been doing for quite some time, you might have given more thought to releasing anything from this bunch of operatives now.

    1. That interview has not been released despite Marco's tiny foot stomp fits on Facebook. According to the reporter Steve Wyer they are holding off until after the election due to FPPC threats and financial considerations.

If we assume the usual bloviating from Gonzalez, confused and false claims by Drake, and longwinded but empty opining from Walsh, we can say we have not missed anything.
