Olivenhain drug mansion demolished

A million-dollar home in Encinitas is being torn down years after catching fire.

Neighbors have called the house an eye sore, especially because of the troubling history behind it.

The home, which was once the center of an investigation into drug-related activities, burned down three years ago.

The fire occurred on July 30, 2015. Firefighters knocked down the flames and then, while going through the residence, they made a tragic discovery - finding the body of a 23-year-old woman inside.

  1. if anyone is wondering, I'm the guy who is cutting people off in the RSF traffic and trying to get into fistfights. but jokes aside, please stop taking the illegal left on cole ranch, I will be out there in the middle of the road and make your shortcut turn into a 30 minute ordeal. seriously, you lone jack people need to calm the fuck down

    1. You might as well add to slow down around the S turn by the Wildflower gate and not treat it as a Formula 1 3G chicane. Last year some kid put his MBZ SUV perfectly between 2 large eucalyptus trees in the creek below. I really hope it scared him slow!

  2. The roundabouts the city was planning on RSF Rd in place of the stop signs will solve the traffic problems. When is that project starting. The funding was taken by Leucadia Streetscape because council only cares about where they live. Joe needs to step it up if he wants to keep moving up the political ladder like his boss Tasha.

    1. Hahaha, yeah roundabouts for everyone! Whose land gets eminent domained to make Norby's roundabout "theme" a reality? Whose community character is destroyed when Catherine "cement-it-over" Blakespear rolls in with her mobility and complete streets and whatever other developer catchphrase is in vogue?

Don't worry 11:38, Mosca will fall into line if Blakespear tells him to. It's her you need to get to.

    2. If the city is serious about relieving the congestion on RSF the use of roundabouts would be perfect, and would not require much additional land. My understanding is that historically the city wanted to make that section so miserable that commuters from other cities would not use it as a way to get to/from work. If that's still true, nothing will be done.
