Vicious assault at 1st Street Bar

 10 News:

Norton says according to witnesses, the man at the center of the scene at the bar — someone Brittany did not know — ran up and punched her in the face, knocking her to the ground.

“At that point, her boyfriend and their friend heard something going on, so they turned around. He was kicking her in the face,” said Norton.

Norton says the man took off, and Brittany's boyfriend ran after him, detaining him until deputies arrived.

Brittany suffered a concussion, ruptured eardrum, broken nose and fractured eye socket.

“She had to have surgery on her nose and on her orbital bone. They had to put an implant in to stabilize her eye socket,” said Norton.

  2. Agreed. Welcome to Big Town where we have a planned vibrant nightlight! Brought to you by BIAspear and her clown council. Where bars owner reign superior to the resident and visitor safety.

Msybe they will have code enforcement right a memo on the subject in about 8 months. Nawww... that would require work.

  6. After the violent incident with a SUV plowing into the crowds in Wisconsin at a Christmas parade, I wonder if Encinitas has any security concerns for their upcoming parade? Looks like plastic stand-up barriers don't cut it - streets need total barricades against rogue drivers. How much security is now "prudent"? Can authorities take chances and play the odds that nothing will go down? Sad times we're living in.....

    1. Something to think about with folks like the mayor's big supporter Jeremy Kron running around? Did he ever get picked up and if so, is he back out on the street?

    2. I love Brandon, Newsom, and BIA's ideas. Lets cut police budget and rights and give felons more freedoms and rights. Lets invite all the terrorists into the country as refugees and then watch them claim the new west for their own county and start making women wear berkas and beat anyone who did not pray correctly. Lets encourage sketchy tweekers to come to Encinitas and take what you need considering its the only equitable thing to do.

Yup our leaders are on the perfect path. I salute you. We got this- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBvIweCIgwk

There is also a warrant out for Brooks’ arrest in Nevada, where he is accused of failing to appear at a court hearing in 2016. He was scheduled to answer a charge that he failed to notify authorities about a move, as he was required to do because he was on the state sex offender registry, police in the city of Sparks said.

Brooks was convicted in 2006 of felony statutory sexual seduction for impregnating a 15-year-old girl, police said.

Wisconsin criminal records on Brooks go back to 1999 with an arrest for battery, in which he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to six months behind bars and three years’ probation.

He was sentenced to 50 days behind bars in 2002 for possession of THC, the main compound in cannabis.

Brooks got a 20-day sentence for a 2003 arrest for misdemeanor resisting or obstructing an officer.

A 2005 arrest for misdemeanor obstructing an officer led to a two-day sentence.

After Brooks pleaded no contest to felony strangulation and suffocation in 2010 and to violating his probation, he was sentenced to 11 months behind bars and three years’ probation.

He pleaded guilty to misdemeanor resisting or obstructing an officer in 2011, leading to a 37-day jail sentence.

In 2011, a second incident of THC possession resulted in a 180-day jail sentence.

Misdemeanor bail jumping and another THC offense at the end of 2011 led to another 180-day jail sentence.

    BIaspear sure has it right!
