  1. If only she would apply such respect to the residents who give of their time to attend council meetings.

She owes so many an apology for heartlessly, soullessly, cutting them off after she went to two minutes.

    1. An apology from her is more of an insult, as she has absolutely no sincerity. The only remedy is to consign her to political oblivion.

  2. Not only did BIA not learn, she kicked up shutting down free speech to another level-

    *****Breaking News*******

Blakespear declares COVID forever. No more in-person City Council meetings ever and no more in-person public comments ever. (or at least until after her senate run)

The UCSD Scripps Phd. Mora Coastalspray completed a study showing public commenters spray more aerosol spray and spread COVID at in-person City Council meetings.

BIAspear Declares, "Once I saw that study, I knew what I had to do in the name of stopping the COVID killer! "

BIA continues, "I declare that in the name of saving millions of peoples lives from a horrible COVID death, I am canceling in person Council City Council meetings and even more important canceling in person public comments at any public meeting with press. To further reduce COVID spray, I will be reducing public speakers time from 3 minutes to 1 min. until after my election, Oh strike that, until further notice. "

    - Thanks all and remember don't burn any diesel today (Oh unless you want to take an empty slow and loud train ride along our beach)

  3. This apology is as genuine as a 3 dollar bill. She is a bumbling tyrant, who tries to back track to cover her blunders. Stifling critics is her forte - look at the Planning Commission ouster of Bruce Ehlers. His "offense"? He had a different opinion from her Majesty Blakespear, the mega-development advocate. She is unfit for State office and will only get worse if she makes it to that level. She will then be the unabated advocate of whatever the special interests dictate to her - look at the disaster she has wrought in Encinitas. VOTE HER OUT!

  4. One of the worst candidates ever to come from this dysfunctional City government. Even $tock$ didn't descend to her level of arrogance.

  6. Back to zoom meetings?

Of course. They got away with bloody murder for a year and a half without our direct involvement on calling them out.

Those zoom meetings were unwatchable, which of course is what they are about. Democracy? Hardly. Not even close.

We need a modern tea party, the 250 year old one, where we demand representation for our taxation.

  7. Blakespear's husband sez it's the same group complaining about the same sh*t for years.

    2. If you are talking about Encinitas Votes, then he isn't right or wrong. We have been complaining about different shit over the years. And now, we are also on the hook for another Blakespear mistake.

    3. Yea, Blakespear's husband is a credible source of information. Another sign that they're nervous about her tainted reputation.

  8. The single biggest issue impacting the quality of life in Leucadia is the damned train horns 24 hours a day. I've owned a home here for 12 years and tolerated the noise but to know that I subsidized Cariff's quiet zone and the city can't find the money for Leucadia is galling. Streetscape is crap, with its Home Depot 6X6 timbers and travelbond surfaces - it could not be a shoddier effort. And for ~$40 MUSD... the second most important thing is re-opening Beacon Beach. If not the trail, the parking lot to pedestrians and sunsetters. This is a huge quality of life issue. The ham-handed fencing is crude and another example of the city's disrespect of all things Leucadian (except tear-down / three story / mixed use projects).

  9. Sources yesterday were heard Ms Blakespear has had a very close relationship with Nina Junkowicz who is the second most intelligent person second only to Joe Biden

  10. Apparently blakespear had to be legally compelled to comply with 1st Amendment provisions regarding her censoring of her Facebook site. Seems to be a pattern, like purging commissions of those who don't support her opinions. Now the City council has gone virtual, to limit her exposure to citizen critics. She has yet to explain the SANDAG credit card scandal, by avoiding the media questions and refusing to comment. She is clearly unfit for the State Senate - she will only get worse if elected and only serve her BIA sponsors.

  11. The San Diego Union Tribune endorsed Joe Kerr for the State Senate District 38, over scandal-ridden Blakespear. Noting Blakespear's political blunders, her oppression of her critics' opinions and her "unrealistic business plans", the Union concludes "We see these as warning signs when a fire captain could offer more". Vote for Joe Kerr.

    1. That's a huge deal considering the UT usually goes disgustingly easy on her.

    2. Blakespear's blatant attempts at manipulation of process, concealment of corruption and unholy alliances with BIA paid stooges, has tipped the scales of sheer incompetence. Now even the Union Tribune has abandoned her sinking political fortunes.
      Vote for Joe Kerr.

  12. I am trying to recall the Union /Trib supporting any action that I was in favor of.

One has to hand it to them this time by supporting Joe Kerr.

Will wonders never cease? Kept it up Union/Trib.
