SANDAG tax increase fails to qualify due to huge number of fake signatures

 Union-Trib:

The county agency reported receiving by a May deadline 141,326 signatures, a 3 percent sample of which were counted. The number of projected valid signatures was 94,787, falling short of a needed 115,788 signatures, or 10 percent of countywide votes cast in the last gubernatorial election.

  1. SANDAG fails because it’s board chair is a complete failure.

    What a freaking catastrophe!
BIAspear is the all time worst!!

    1. Blakespear is fake - she will roll out an intense campaign for November, as she could lose given the close numbers in the primary. She represents big money interests - period!

    2. I agree. I can’t wait to see the Encinitas numbers in the primary. I bet more people voted against her than for her. In my opinion she’s 100% loser!

  2. BIAspear's plan that calls for three half-cent sales tax increases by 2028, as well as so-called road charges on drivers of 4 cent/ mile road charge so they can open more alignments of empty polluting human mowing machines and make everyone take buses?

Well read below. Their faulty plan ran straight into a diesel burning full speed locomotive and was mowed down like the dozens of people mowed down per year by the empty Coaster?

time and time again, if Blakespear touches it, it's a failure.

The comment at the bottom of the article nails it.

The SANDAG proposal is the wrong plan for San Diego County. It shorts our freeways, dumps money into mass transit that few use, wants to fund a high speed rail from the border to Oceanside but our existing tracks force the trains that use them to slow to 30 mph or less in spots. Why should we pay for a high speed rail that pokes along?

Then there is SANDAG's history of bait and switch, where they move money to cover overruns and do not complete projects that were promised, all without telling the voting public. Lastly there is the ever changing list of project they "Promise" to fund.
SANDAG you fooled us once, you have no credibility and what you want to do is not what San Diego needs.

If their ballot measure get to November, I'm voting NO.

  3. Blakespear can use her SANDAG credit card and "CHARGE IT"!

    1. So why don’t they put all the receipts out in the open for the public to review and the paper could do an article about who spent what and who is paying the money back to you SANDAG.

I would love to see the expenditures from Blakespear and everything she spent that she is not reimbursed us taxpayers.

Living the high life on the tax payers dime. Does San Diego have a French Laundry restaurant?

Did she book some trips like our own Tony Kranz is known to do?

    2. The SANDAG credit card scandal was swept under the carpet. No disclosures, no repercussions, no explanation from Blakespear. She needs to come clean and disclose whether she had a credit card and then release the list of her expenditures - it was tax payer money, so there is no right to privacy. Where is the County DA - isn't this considered improper by any legal definition? The whole thing stinks - Blakespear isn't fit for the State Senate.

  4. Maybe Blakespear can do an (EAT) End Around Tax to fund her and her buddy Nathan F. yacht enthusiast billings?

    1. They are one of the same. No stretch at all. The concerning part of it all is the shocking amount of cognitive dissonance when it comes to amount of votes these losers get. It's become obvious to critical thinking individuals whom have the ability to think deep and critical. The following truth has never been more evident in my life time:

Psychosis is when people lose some contact with reality. Mass formation psychosis is when a large part of a society focuses its attention to a leader(s) or a series of events and their attention focuses on one small point or issue. Followers can be hypnotized and be led anywhere, regardless of data proving otherwise. A key aspect of the phenomena is that the people they identify as the leaders – the one’s that can solve the problem or issue alone – they will follow that leader(s) regardless of any new information or data. Furthermore, anybody who questions the leader’s narrative are attacked and disregarded.

    1. People that voted for her must have voted party lines, as how could anyone vote for such a corrupt and incompetent buffoon?

    2. Assumptions like that are why you never do an effective election post mortem, and why you keep losing.

  7. The Blakespear-Gunderson contest might get interesting. So far the Mayor has been running around kissing babies, cutting ribbons, and demonstrating her progressive bona fides. Pretty tame stuff.

Gunderson has been doing much the same, introducing himself as a political outsider, with a businessman's sense of practicality, and a pleasant demeanor.

But the district is closely divided, so it will be a tough fight. Unfortunately for us (the voters), negative attacks are proven to work, so we should expect that. Blakespear has a record, so there is more of her to attack. How's she gonna go after Gunderson? For being an evil Republican? These days, with everything the Dems touching turning to crap the GOP connection might be a plus, even in CA.

P.S. If anyone here in Encinitas thinks they have some really good dirt on CB, by all means share. This is as good a place as any to get it out there.

    5. If that’s the case CA is done….

It will swirl into sewage as all the brains in taxpayers leave this freaking backward ass homeless building governance.

Blakespear and her clown council are truly anti-American in my opinion.

  8. As you stated everything she touches is dirty. All of SANDAG items, all the poorly designed bike lanes that are causing injury deaths, and lawsuits, gobbling up fictitious affordable housing quotas and then not only agreeing with the state but welcoming all kinds of density increases up zoning so that developers can spread their crap all over town. Whatever she touches turns to crap.

Privileged white racist female version of Newsom. 🤮

    1. She tried to sue the citizens that quaified the ballot measure to put all property rezoning to a vote. That is the citizens' right of participation in the democratic process. She does NOT tolerate alternate opinions - witness the railroading of Ehlers off the planning commission, then appointing a developer who was unqualifed due to his position on another committee.
She makes up the rules as she sees fit - making her UNFIT for the State Senate. Her campaign will be spending a fortune to prop her up, as she is seriously damaged goods.

  9. Now that she has already killed one cyclist with the bollard placement that did not go through appropriate process, she is ready to multiply her impact by voting to allow Olivenhain and RSF residents to burn to death. And she tells us that SHE is a victim!

  10. Pressure her to come clean on her participation in the SANDAG credit card scandal..Did she use the credit cards, and if so, then disclose a list of her expenditures. The public has a right to know her fiscal responsibilities using public funds. Will she voluntarily comply - most probably NOT!

    More lunacy from the left.

  12. Blakespear et al are fascinatingly confluent to crypto currencies.

The collapse is all around us but the voters keep buying.

What on earth is wrong with him? The nut case has nothing better to do than try and sue gun manufacturers because crazies shot and kill people? Then he better sue car manufacturers.

I grew up the son of a Marine pilot from the Greatest Generation and wholly believe most Marines abide by the principles of Semper Fi in their lives in and out of the service.

Then again, lisa being an ethics professor never seemed to make sense with the way she lied to Francine about Julie Graboi. More like ethicless.

The intervening years have not changed that character flaw, as far as I am aware of. Mayor? No effing way. Give our community a break. Please. For all the good it will do.
