Facebook:
The Blakespear council already paid out $11 million to Blakespear buddy Roberta Walker for an early morning crash in the council’s newly created “sharrows” lane (though the Blakespear council is still hiding the accident report from the taxpayers).
And certainly millions more will be paid to the family of Dr. Jennings Worley, who was killed at the Blakespear council’s ill-conceived traffic bollards on Leucadia Boulevard.
And let’s not forget the dozens of injuries, several requiring ambulances and hospitalization, from the Blakespear road obstacles between Cardiff and Solana Beach. Lawsuits remain pending.
So stupid it boggles the mind!
ReplyDeleteSeems like everything the city does is half ass
ReplyDeleteThe biggest benefit of Streetscape is supposed to be a dedicated bike lane between La Costa Ave and A St. So what does the city do? Installs bike racks in the middle of the bike lane!
ReplyDeleteDalakranz and BIA can not make a decision that is good for Encinitas. Everything they do is bad.
DeleteDalakranz thinks no big deal. It’s not my money or pain and suffering.
ReplyDeleteThat is a common position among those who have not had a real job.
DeleteBullshit, Ed.
ReplyDeleteMaking streets safer for all modes is a good thing. Sharrows don’t change anything. They only remind drivers of the law.
true that but they do give bike riders a false sense of entitlement thinking they will not get run over by some shitty driver that was preoccupied with their phone, food, booze and drugs or vanity....
DeleteFrom what I see, many drivers have super bad habits and are a danger for all on the road.
Who "The Hell" is doing the safety analysis? Another episode of "dumb and dumber". Cheesus !!!!!
ReplyDelete5:02am
DeleteRumor has it that Pete Buttigieg did the safety analysis so not to worry
8:57 : ))))
DeleteLets not forget about:
ReplyDeleteA family friend identified the victim as Stephanie Berger-McKenna, a marathon runner who had just left Pandora Pizza with her husband, who was following behind her on a skateboard, when the vehicle, which investigators identified as a white or silver ‘90s model Mercedes-Benz, struck her and drove off.
The family friend, Tammy Livingston, said that Berger-McKenna was transported to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, where she has undergone two surgeries — one to remove a portion of her skull to reduce swelling and the second to remove a blood clot discovered following the first surgery.

And then there is still:

And this:

and this:

The big problem is the City is saying the want to improve the situation for bicyclists. But like everything Kranz does its a complete failure and harms the community and bike riders.

More lawsuits dropping in special City Council meeting. Item no 4.

Everyone knew these were coming. Thank BIA and Kranz next time you see them for bankrupting the City with their horrible decisions. Injury and deaths result in big settlement and payouts!
You're giving Blakespear a pass on this? She is behind all the disastrous decisions made in the last 4 years. Everything she touches turns to lead. SANDAG scandal, streetscape. injury lawsuits, council violating city by-laws, refusal to address issues she can't explain. and blatant alliance with BIA interests. She is toxic and needs to be voted into oblivion.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you talking about? No pass here …. I said BIA and Kranz….. everybody knows Blakespear‘s most common nickname is BIA. Please explain your comment.
DeleteHere is the problem and I write as a "traffic control expert" having been doing traffic control for a huge corpoation.
ReplyDeletefor decades. HIRE THE RIGHT PEOPLE, the State of California even provides a FREE manual written by traffic engineers so you don't screw up Damn...it ain't brain surgery. Think.
The biggest problems is you, the City stuck you stupid necks out and got INVOLVED with bicycle lanes. Making you a party of responsibility. This is where a savvy attorney tears you up in court. Stop getting involved !!!!!! You were better off doing nothing !!!!!!! You fools
Thank that idiot Blakespear - the most incompetent Mayor in Encinitas history. She is arrogant and ignorant - she DOES NOT deserve to be elected to the State Senate! She'd be an even bigger disaster there!
Delete2:24- can you try again so I can understand your points?
Delete9:23...I can't fix you if you don't understand what I wrote.
DeleteSo stay in your bubble and the rest of us will fix things
as soon as Encinitas gets people on the council that have sense.
I left out the mentality of cyclists...it isn't good. They somehow think the over educated won't run into them.
Delete11:43- you mean all the ignorant bad drivers that do not know the laws, text while driving and a ton of drivers area out on the streets with mind altering chemicals ingested and pumped into their blood stream!
DeleteIt so scary out there. And then you have BIA and Kranz promoting bad decision and you have heightened deaths, maimed masses, and road kill galore.
Yikes!! Tax payers are screwed.
6:45- I think it’s about traffic control or something with the bike lanes. ?
ReplyDeleteI think it was a pretty good attempt for a public education participant. Good job. Come and collect your ribbon.
I hope you’re writing as a traffic control expert is better than you writing on this blog. 😂😂
ReplyDelete*your 😂
ReplyDeleteI’m a product of the California educational system as well
Ohhh' noooo, I left off an "r". You clowns are probably still wearing masks with face shields while driving your cars.
ReplyDeleteIn the industry we refer to you as all brains and no brains.
You can read a book in a day but can't tie your own shoes.
clowns...
11:46 when people like this attack a misspelled word, it's the only thing that makes them feel good about themselves.
ReplyDeleteWhy? they don't fit in with normal people as they lack personality and the ability to obtain one. These are nerds with nothing going for them in their lives. The same types that have been made fun of their entire life.
The kind that comit suicide and no one cares.
You mean "The same types who have been made fun of their entire lives." and "The kind who commit suicide and no one cares." You made a lame attempt at justifying a lack of basic literacy. If you apply for a job in my company, I won't hire you.
DeleteWow. You’re good. You nailed it exactly
ReplyDeleteSo while everyone is distracted by the ongoing shenanigans of our current mayor and city council, one of the 2022 mayoral candidate's Putinesque antics seem to go overlooked. He is posting on his campaign sites and EV, accusing his competition of blocking or removing his posts from Nextdoor and threatening action calling for them to step down from the race. Unfortunately for him he fails to understand how ND works. Per the ND Company web experts " Individual members of the Review Team(Leads and Community Reviewers) do not have the ability to remove a post on their own. All reports must be voted on by multiple members. Only ND staff may remove a post or disable an account on their own." Maybe the content of his campaign material violated the ND standards for content.
ReplyDeleteSaw the post on his watch dog site attacking imaginary detractors he thinks devided not to support him to “do me a favor and go away.”.
DeleteMorris claims he can’t stand dishonesty but can’t own his own lie. Enough with the city government hypocrisy, no thanks.
What was that lyric, Paranoia will destroy ya?
“Decided”
DeleteJeff Morris is an out-of-control lunatic. He's a legend in his own mind. He should drop out of the race so he doesn't spoil Cremona's chances of beating Kranz.
ReplyDeleteKranz is no doubt loving this.
DeletePoor delusional Morris. Used and set up by those he considers friends to destroy the election chances for someone who’s actually credible and electable. If he did his homework, he’d learn NextDoor takes down political advertising. Instead, he prefers to play victim to distract from his failing campaign.
ReplyDelete5:20pm Song quote, "Paranoia strikes deep, into your life it will creep, it starts when you are always afraid, step out of line and the man will take you away"
ReplyDeleteKind of fits. haha Thank you Buffalo Springfield for "For What Its Worth". The sad thing is that was 55 years ago and still somehow relevant. How far have we come?
Thanks for the trip down memory lane, 12:15! Now unfortunately resurrected in Encinitas' mayoral race.
