  1. All that talking when it was already decided. What a waste of time and money. Just like our current Mayor and the City Council.

Some one good needs to run. Not just crazy eyes boring lady that talks on every subject. Its Native American dumb ass. Tony is not an Indian. FGS- What a dumb ass. Hang it up!!!

    How about Charlie McDermott?

    1. How about you, Marvy? On second thought, no - talk about time to hang it up.

    2. Wow, 8:10 Arent you ignorant. Spouting off that Tony isn't Indian. What makes you so sure? Sheila Cameron, who was on city council years ago, and mayor, is crazy for being a watchdog? For being a concerned senior citizen whose mission is unearthing little secrets and omissions?! She was partly right... Tony is part Indian, one-quarter Narragansett tribe in Rhode Island. Finally found his relatives who knew his long disappeared Indian grandfather. So he's 1/4 Naragansett indian, half full blooded Italian from his birth father, last name Capolupo, found him 30 years ago prospering in beverly hills. Tony got Brandenburg from the man his mother married and adopted him as new dad shipped out. Not a speck of german in him. But he immersed himself in Hopi Indian villages and helped the good indians protect their village and find missing funds that the greedy phony indians were funneling out. Those Hopis thought Tony was nearly the messiah. He was also asked to be Chief Judge for the Hopi tribal court in Keams canyon. Our kids were christened on the edge of the mesa at dawn at 4 weeks old, then had their hair washed and multiple Indian names blessed on them by different mitwes: adopted Hopi grandmotherS, sisters. Our living room is an Indian art and artifacts museum. Kachina dolls EVERYWHERE. So when you diss on someone, you might want to research before you speak. Indian friends helped me set up the olivenhain meeting hall for our wedding. tony is one of very few who grasp Public Law 280 states. Complicated and culturally sensitive. Tony can carve and pain machine dolls, play a flute, and chat in Hopi over coffee till the wee hours. weve gone into the kiva, unheard of for white man.
So, don't go speaking of things you know nothing about.

    3. Oops, i think i need to apologize, for my rant... I misunderstood the gist. I thought you were saying Tony isn't Native American OR Indian. Truth is, all the Natives call themselves Indians. They're not PC, at least not the ones we know

      Delete
    4. Apology accepted.

Really? Native Americans like to call themselves Indians? Wow. I haven't heard that one. Maybe is the same thing as African Americans slang calling themselves and using the word "N(*&er " all the time. Its probably ok for a Native to call another native an I, but not for a howlie.

      Nice family rant. peace out.

Maybe crazy eyes has some native in her?.... has the eyes of a crazy old bat.

    5. Charlie McDermott? The guy who got a liquor license in a residential neighborhood and didn't provide adequate parking? While I'm sure he's a great guy with lots of ideas, do you really think this group of EU miscreants wouldn't cut him to ribbons in a nanosecond?

    6. 7:52 Nope. The guys uses common sense which is severely lacking at City Hall.

His liquor license has proven to be of no detriment to the neighbors as some predicted. In fact, I would say it has the least negative impact of any liqueur license in the City.

He's smart, plays by the rules, and has integrity. I wish we could get 4 more of equal caliber to be on the City Council. Then this City would be in good shape.

Currently are leadership is on par with Oceanside or Oxnard and no better. Vote out all incumbents.

    1. Olivenhain really doesn't want that newcomer carpetbagger representing us. Can olivenhain secede from district 4?? Or from Encinitas? I really want him to take the Olivenhain Meeting Hall out of his picture. It's blasphemous for him to try to equate himself with the meeting hall. Olivenhain does NOT want him or trust him. It would be interesting to learn the percentage of olivenhain that voted for joe

      Delete
    2. Wait a minute - you say "Olivenhain really doesn't want that newcomer..." but turn around and say "It would be interesting to learn the percentage of olivenhain that voted for joe"?!?!? If you don't know the answer to the latter, how can you say the former?!?!

Besides, I live in Olivenhain and I and most of my neighbors voted for Joe. He's fine.

  5. Joe Mosca is so fake it unbelievable! He's a flip/flopper that can't make up his own mind. They should've replaced him as well! Enough, with his kiss-assing!
He can't even support one of his own district members.

  6. Staff proposing more striping "improvements"which will have even more people mowed over than the last jacked up striping "improvements" that got the last two women mowed over and many other hit.

Wow! What great recommendations. Mayor tell them what a great job they are going! It doesn't matter if they are recommending improvements that get people maimed. Lets ask Roberta if staff's striping recommendations are good?

  7. Let's ask bicyclists not to ride in the dark without lights and reflectors.

Hubbard does not know there aren't crosswalks at Phoebe and Basil now. She thinks there are, and that they'll be redone. If they are, crosswalks to what? That's not where the east side parking pods are supposed to go.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Hubbard doesn't know a lot of things she should.

Same goes for Kranz, who argued with Leucadia residents that there's an I-5 northbound onramp off from Piraeus south. He actually got into it with two guys who finally busted out a map on the overhead to prove him wrong. His response? "I've heard enough!" What a buffoon.

Blakespear repeats "professional staff" in an attempt to abdicate responsibility and get out of actually learning anything. Hinze will exacerbate the problem of council relying entirely on "staff."

Plus Mosca, there's never been a five-person consolidation of power like Blakespear has now put together.

    2. Listening to the council members and staff pontificating and revealing how much they don't know makes me wonder how much they know about everything else they consider.

    3. True. The blind (stupid) leading the blind (stupid). I like how they have 20 experts all sitting around the one speaker wasting tax payers dollars and they all don't know shit and don't say shit all meeting. They just sit there looking stupid. Then when staff does speak it confirm they are stupid, and do not know shit.

  8. BTW, there is a NB On ramp on SB Piraeus.

    1. When southbound Piraeus comes to Ocean View Ave it divides into 2 turn lanes as you can't continue to Leucadia Blvd. The left lane turns to Ocean View east. So where does the right turn lane go?

  9. Approved?
    1. Rumble strips just beyond the Calsbad line
    2. Speed tables (4) in the sharrows?
    3. Signs to discourage drivers from using the right lane
    Should be great for business.
    4. Bicycle groups outside Encinitas will offer education on what? Riding at night without reflectors or reflective vests?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Speed tables on Coast Hwy were approved. Somebody is going to get hurt real bad unfortunately. The first one at Grandview will be launching them at 50 mph. Hope the City has a pot of gold to pay off the claims and defend the engineer that stamps the plans. This is what happens when councilmembers play engineer.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. This is what happens when the City Council hires a shitty City Manager. Nothing progresses until someone gets mangled and then its a circle jerk emergency.

The speed survey will not be valid. The current roadway is designed for 50 mph +

Anyone getting a ticket can easily challenge the ticket. For enforcement to be valid, the street needs to be redesigned and changed.

I am sure the City will screw this one up big-time. Terrible management just like on all their past failures.

Vote out all incumbents. They support the shitty management.

    ReplyDelete
  13. No. The town is Sierra Madre.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Joe was never recalled. He was the top vote getter in both elections in sierra Madre. Tony B only used info from a blog in Sierra Madre run by the guy who lost to Joe in a landslide. The blogger tried to lead a recall but failed. Do some research people. I did when I got Tony’s misleading mailpieces in most recent election. Look at Pasadena Star (local paper) spells it all out. Vs local blogs where anyone can spew hostilities. If you don’t like what Joes doing, reach out to him. Easily the most approachable council member, though I don’t always agree with him.

  19. If you make a public comment, and city council doesn’t do what you want, it’s not necessarily the case that they “didn’t listen.” It’s actually much more likely that they listened, and correctly determined that you are an idiot.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hello- I do blame the City Council for not firing the City Manager for her shitty performance and recommendations. The tax payers are paying top dollar for managing our City and they are getting F performance.

It is their fault for accepting this shitty work and for not firing the City Manager and therefore it is their fault for Roberta's condition along with many of the other maimed citizens. Shame.

Vote out all incumbents. They are as bad for the City as the City Manager.

  22. The sell out staff does what they are told by the insider developers.

If any of our planners are members of the AICP, they are violating their memberships in the American Institute of Certified Planners.

This national organization has a code of ethics that demands yearly recertification of their members to attend sensitivity classes based upon defending the public against just what our planners have no qualms about violating every chance they get.

It is past time to let them know how our planners have been acting for a decade and more.

If none of our planners are members, this is a nonstarter and we are up he same shits creek that we been for decades.

How convenient that the planning dept. hires do not have to adhere to this national organization.

Does anyone know if any of our planners are members of the AICP?

A senior planner, Todd, a few years ago flatly stated during a council meeting that their dept. was not there to represent the residents concerns. They were there to approve every request by developers to approve every project that comes before them.

His candidness to state the obvious was illuminating and the silence in the chambers was deafening.

The AICP will be hearing from us.

  23. Barf-o-rama! Blakespear states in her "newsletter:"

"We unanimously appointed Leucadia resident Kellie Shay Hinze to the open City Council seat."

Accurately said: "We violated the Brown Act - even the other candidates acknowledged publicly that the fix was in in advance of the vote."

Blakespear quotes Berlfein: "I became thoroughly impressed with Kellie while seeing her in action as the Executive Director of the Leucadia 101 Main Street Association.”

What she really means is "This nominee has and will continue to fall nicely in line with whatever the city tells her to say and do."

This is the same Hinze who aggressively ordered a resident off a public sidewalk for distributing anti-Streetscape fliers and had to be reminded to back off. Seems there's an annoying little law called the First Amendment. "Managing conflicting opinions," my rear.

  24. Kellie Hinze...the fix is in...environmental left-wing fascist. Sponsored by a hate-filled anti-American mom just like Blakespear.
Oh what do you know this new City Council Kellie Hinze is just another sheltered and spoiled Cultural Marxist whose mommy just bought her a newly remodeled half a million dollar home (and momma paid cash...no loands for these elites) in Village Park at 138 Countrywood Ln. These elitist liberal Cultural Marxists just like Blakespear's mom, raise their daughters to go out spend $100,000's on worthless degrees that indoctrinate them to HATE normal Americans (conservatives) and then instead of having their kids actually go out in the real world and toil and work for a living for a downpayment, these Cultural Marxist literally BUY houses for their little snowflakes. Yes, Kellie Hinze's mommy dearest just bought her a home, Blakespear's mommy dearest GAVE here and her cuckhold husband a beach house in Cardiff in the upscale 'composer district' andm good ol' boy Tony Kranz lives as his wifes parents house in Leucadia and has never bought or sold a home in Encinitas in his entire life. Another Cultural Marxist is that kid who advocates everyone ride their bike to work Brian Grover, this spoiled brat's parents bought him a nice home in Leucadia on the 101 just a block to the beach. The elitist spoiled brats must go!!!!

  25. 3:22pm. Thomas Roger Ogden. Time to take his trash out.

Why are you posting here on our local site from down in a San Diego neighborhood?

Haters just have to hate. You are one sick excuse of a human being.

Go away and stay away. There is nothing for you here.

Spread your hate elsewhere if you must. What a miserable life you must have.

You are never anonymous. it is beyond your ability to comprehend. Your true identity is always evident.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hate? It appears that this person has just informed us that much of the City Council has not worked hard to buy their homes like everyone else, this is not only interesting but is illuminating. YOU appear to be using the word HATE to ask the blogger to censor or suppress the facts that this person has shared with us? WHY is that?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Perhaps this person with an evil vendetta against poor Thomas Odgen is part of this hate group whose aims to silence and censor truth tellers: The anti-conservative hate group, Southern Poverty Law Center, wants to censor people it disagrees with and it’s asking the top social media companies to help. On Thursday, October 25, the liberal hate organization announced that it had formed a coalition with five other groups to encourage the prohibition of so-called “hate speech” online. SPLC partnered with four George Soros funded organizations: the Center for American Progress, Color of Change, Free Press and Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, as well as the National Hispanic Media Coalition. The groups called for restricting a wide range of content, video, advertising, fundraising and domain/website services. The restrictions even cover “targeting an individual or group based on their actual or perceived race.” Those activities even limit actions users may take “whether online or offline.” The SPLC has marked conservative organizations, including the Family Research Council, ACT for America, American Family Association, and Alliance Defending Freedom as hate groups. The group has also targeted conservative and classical liberal individuals for hate speech, such as Christina Hoff Sommers. Conservative groups are usually filed under “anti-LGBTQ hate speech” or “anti-Islam hate speech.”
In addition, the SPLC created a “hate map,” updated to show the locations of 917 groups and organizations it deemed “hateful.” This map was used by shooter Floyd Lee Corkin forming a plan s to attack the Family Research Council in 2012, injuring one.
These standards should now apply to online media, writes the SPLC. It stated, “Online tools have been used to coordinate attacks, including violence against people of color, immigrants, religious minorities, LGBTQIA people, women and people with disabilities.” Sounds simple, but when a person argues that they support traditional marriage between a man and a woman, the SPLC determines that to be hate speech.
In the 11-page report, the SPLC and its partners wrote several recommendations for corporate companies in social media. The report stated, “Using the service to engage in hateful activities on the service or to facilitate hateful activities off the service shall be grounds for terminating the service for a user.” The SPLC warns that government actors should not be allowed to flag content on social media, since apparently that falls under free speech limitations.
Center for American Progress, Color of Change, and Free Press are all given major donations from liberal billionaire George Soros on a regular basis. Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law is part of the non-profit Alliance for Justice, which is a coalition of 100 organizations. This coalition is also funded by Soros.
