  1. So many questions...what's up with former mayoral candidate Jeff Morris being arrested? Jeff made himself a public figure through Watchdog and declaring his website encinitaswatchdog.com as a "news source". Given his longtime antics and the effect he has on the community, I think we deserve to know.

What was the outcome of the Jeff Morris and Natalie Setton case?

Why was he arrested this week?

    1. The Setton v Morris civil harassment case is listed as pending in the court Register of Actions. Which I think means it’s still unresolved.

    2. 11:22 Here is his lawyers comment on UE: Paul Neuharth Jr December 21, 2022 at 1:26 PM
I am Jeff Morris's attorney and have been for many years. Today's hearing resulted in a decision by the Court that the Injunction/Order requested was not supported by the evidence and was dismissed. A hearing on the amount of Attorney fees to be awarded to Jeff Morris will be held after December as he was the prevailing party. In addition, despite assertions that he was arrested for PC 245, that is blatantly untrue and there is NO arrest record. Although charges were briefly filed, they were quickly dismissed and a 3 year Restraining Order issued against the individual who had brought the false complaint against him. I have spoken to Mr. Morris about bringing a Civil Action against those who have publicly posted that he was arrested as that is clear defamation.

    3. That’s nice.

Lawyers for one side are hardly a reliable source.

I’ll depend on the Register of Actions, which shows the case as pending, and no minute order from the bench.

    4. If the judge had not dismissed the case, and had filed the TRO, maybe things would have been different on Christmas Eve. Comments on EU are exacting that the Thunder cheater game to use Jeff to split the votes and pave the way for a win for Tony, was found out and he took it out on Kim? Go Figure!

It was more than just Kim who was a victim. Sage the daughter was the false imprisonment and Kim was the domestic violence with injuries with his beloved son witnessing how to treat women. Yuck.

    5. 11:57. Possibly. Especially if Kim and Thunder cooked up that big batch of deception between them. Is that why Julie was so defensive about Jeff’s arrest on EV? For someone who claims she ran a clean campaign, she’s very paranoid.

      Delete
    6. It's not paranoia. Anyone involved with as much shady and illegal shit as Julie has over the years knows it's only a matter of time before some of it comes back to bite you.

    7. 12:30 My gut tells me that Kim would not do that to him. Plus Kim hates Tony and what he has done to Encinitas. It seemed that she was sincerely trying to get her husband elected. More than likely she is also a victim of Julie's game, and she was played. Ever since the beginning, when Watchdogs was NC3, Julie used everyone in the NC3 group for her Mayoral campaign.

    8. Please recall that Garvin, Julie AND Kim Morris were making the case for Tony “changing” in the last year when ONV was proposed to go on this years ballot. I think the fix has been in for a very long time. Also, Jeff barely acknowledged Tony, the real threat, during his campaign. It was Cindy he had his sights on. Julie felt intimidated by Cindy and created lots of whisper campaigns about her while filling Jeff’s corruptible mind with paranoia.

    1. This is hilarious.

Someone here asked “Is it true that the judge found him guilty of extreme duchery?”

And he went off on a tantrum threatening to sue for defamation.

First of all, it was a question, not a statement.

Second of all, it was clearly satire, which is protected speech.

Third of all, there is no criminal charge of extreme douchery (we can debate whether there should be).

Good luck with your lawsuit. Maybe call the Judge “Bro.” I hear that goes over super well.

That was Tony the Town Dunce solving the affordable housing issue!

    Way to go Dunce!!

San Diego home price drops for the 6th month. Sales nosedive

The interest rate for a 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage hit 7.08 percent in November, said Freddie Mac, up from 3.07 percent the year before.

He has a listing on North Rios Avenue in Solana Beach, one of the most desired locales in San Diego, that recently went on sale for $1.9 million and isn’t getting much attention. His seller purchased the home in April, when home prices were peaking, for $2.45 million. For personal reasons, the buyer has to sell now and has put it on the market for a considerable discount.

“I cannot get an offer,” Grant said. “It is worth all day, $2.3 to $2.4 million, and we lowered the price, but not a single offer has come in.”

The number of homes for sale also has dropped. There were 4,750 homes for sale from Oct. 31 to Nov. 27, said the Redfin Data Center, down from nearly 6,000 in July and August.

Raylene Brundage, an agent who sells in several North County communities, said sellers don’t have much desire to put homes on the market when it means a new mortgage will have a higher interest rate. She said a sale only works out, for most, if they can buy a new property with cash or are moving to another state.

Brundage also said some potential sellers she spoke with decided to just rent out homes, rather than sell if they had to move for some reason.

“People are thinking a little longer and harder about the moves they are making,” she said.

San Diego isn’t alone in the downturn in sales. . Year over year, Orange County sales were down 50 percent, Ventura County was down 53 percent, San Bernardino County was down 44.5 percent and Los Angeles County was down 44 percent.

San Diego County has seen slowdowns in the past, and somewhat recently. A brief slowing in the fall of 2018 and into 2019, erased annual price gains. As of September 2019, annual prices were down 1 percent. The market started to recover after that and prices accelerated wildly in 2020. The biggest annual drop was 35 percent in January 2009.

This is awesome. I'm waiting until home prices correct 50% down ain two years and then I will buy more a ton more rentals and max em out in Encinitas like the BIA and the Town Dunce wants.

Sorry all you folks that bought homes within the last 7 years. You are all fucked and sorry you lost major portions of your nest egg. Plus enjoy those sky high property taxes forever! 😁 Hey look on the bright side, you made millions on Bitcoin. 😂 Ha!!

Well, now that prices and rents are tanking, and many people with money are moving out of CA and our new penniless neighbors are moving in by the hordes, do we really need to build all this high density apartments throughout Encinitas as approved by our Town Dunce? Are all these units going to be section 8? because I don't see anyone wanting to buy them under their projected pricing strategy and I think the banks will be offering fire sales after many many many defaults. This is awesome and its going to make 2009 look like a tiny blip in the market. 😁😁😁

To all with solid diverse assets... enjoy watching the nosedive over the next two years - Major headline and depression are in store for 2023.

and don't worry, Biden has this and will correct all of this by offering up a $10 trillion new DEBT bill titles - Build Em For Everyone Program- which may help the problem because the coming inflation will lessen the blow of your home selling at 50% of its estimated worth in 2021.

Wahooooo - fun time ahead!!! 😊

  16. Whats a tad bit concerning is how quick the upzones go into construction from the $$ giveaways to the property owners who are willing to sell out Encinitas along with the Town Dunce all day long. Encinitas/Quail Gardens - Quail Gardens and Leucadia Blvd.- La Costa Avenue and Vulcan Ave - All under construction with massive water meters and water use to come....

Soon to be Goodson monstrosity, more on Encinitas Blvd, and Alia Maria Ghetto Village. Yeah- more units in a declining market - this should surely help the correction reach the 50% mark.

Yeah! The Town Dunce is an easy sell out and will do more selling out Encinitas to keep his trips and perks from developers coming. My only question is will Tony be going back to his beloved Israel or will he pick up his party game and head to Thailand to get more of his party funk on with his new Buttee Garvin?

    1. Watch for him to support Chris Calkins, Ecke attorney, to backfill his D1 seat. Remember Kranz is loyal to a fault to his old friends and David Meyer/married to an Ecke would love nothing better than to have a representative up there on council. Especially one with the weight of a law degree to tell the devious Kranz and gullible Hinze and Lyndes how to "interpret" land use and zoning law. Now throw in their good buddy Gonzalez and Sapau inside city hall and we'll be screwed but good.

    3. 5:05- hope that’s the case…. There are going to be major defaults in the next 2 to 5 years… and the feds can’t bail everyone out again because the whole currency is at stake and that will collapse it if even quicker. The $1.7 trillion for slush fund projects is only going to hurt big time… we are not even in an active war.

Wait until you see the defaults coming this personal, banks, cities…. The list will be long.

That’s the result of the feds providing free money since 2001…..

Actions have consequences and this can is against the wall and about to explode.

      Pop!

There is this, the imploding economy, and the recall of the Dunce and turn over of the current clown council. All pretty interesting stuff.

Get ready for the recall and lets get this City back on track!

  18. Just watched the City council meeting on Dec 14 and you were right. Chris Ryan is under the Dunce cap.

Watch 3:40.00 into the meeting under 10 D

Hence, my prediction is the Town Dunce will appoint a fellow Dunce who believes they can solve the CA home pricing issue and buck the supply and demand and some how provide all world citizens an affordable ( I think they are using the wrong word. I think cheap is what is more accurate).

Housing is affordable and based on supply and demand. Take for example the current conditions. Interest rates are raising to normal conditions and hence the monthly costs go up for debtors and the market is crashing.

Government can not and should try and solve this issue. Let the laws of supply and demand and free enterprise prevail and will have a much more stable and happier future. But no. some believe in babble talk. and from what I heard Chris Ryan is one if the babblers and ignores universal laws.

Again, Ryan is a babbler so they will definitely appoint her. I will give 2:1 odds with the next bet being on Chris C., followed by Mali.....

Remember folks..... focus... recall the Dunce and let's end this illogical behavior. supply and demand has worked for tens of thousand of years. This City Council can not change world forces and provide cheap housing for all humans.

Gag on Chris Ryan's appointment, and praise the constitution and liberty for all the world citizens.

    1. Corporations I just run by humans. I hope all of these greedy corporations will get burned in this major correction just like the Japanese dad when they brought up all those high-rise properties back a few decades ago.

There’s tons of other national citizens that own property throughout California, all corporations and individuals like are going to feel the pain alike.

Hold on folks, 2023 is going to get really interesting, really fast!

What do you think will be the top headlines in 2023?

I'll start, I have said for about 20 years, due to our Feds policies and Congress's lack of intelligence, I predicted a complete currency collapse by 2025. Considering this latest trends, I think my prediction may be late by one year.

    Headlines for 2023?
