  1. I am so grateful for those who held the council responsible last week. There could not have been a better time to see the many friends I have been missing for the last couple of years.

The love of community was filling the hall to the rafters, with the exception of those on the dais of course.

There was a dark cloud over all of them up there whether it was visible or not, it was there in spirit.

It is going to be a long year with this bunch. There is not a keeper in the whole lot of them.

If there was ever a council that deserves to have everyone of us who attended to turn our backs to them, especially withe TV camera's rolling, that was it.

Hopefully we won't have to do that to make a point, but such action is well deserved just as it was a decade ago.

    1. Follow the MONEY.
Cannabis is a money tree for the growers to the sellers and to the politicians. Money is the reason for the unanimous vote. The sweet fruit of their labor.

  2. The ninety year old Reefer Madness movie still inspires some to come to the same uninformed conclusion.

The four coming cannabis outlets were conclusively voted on and passed in our city. Grow up.

The passed legislation was all about adult usage.

If some have concerns for their children, it is past time to try parenting for a change. What a novel concept.

  3. In Tree City, USA, trees are now known as "fuel." The misleading euphemism award goes to:

Encinitas Fire Department Secures Grant for Fuel Reduction Projects

The Encinitas Fire Department partnered with the Nature Collective and successfully secured two grants for fuel reduction projects in the community of Olivenhain. These grants are for the removal of non-indigenous, invasive species and will aid in restoring the waterway vegetation to its native form and reduce the threat from fire. These qualified under a fire-related grant based on the type of fuel to be removed, primarily eucalyptus and palm trees.

    1. The Wildlife Conservation Board (WCB), Pacific Flyaway grant was approved and the Nature Collective just completed the first of four cutting seasons. The seasons are based on the annual bird nesting schedule from March to August, so cutting can only be conducted September to February. The next cutting season will begin September 2022. This grant covers the creek area south of La Bajada Bridge to Stonebridge and the amount of the grant is $1,976,000.

    2. The WCB Riparian grant has been approved and the Nature Collective should be receiving the notice to proceed in October. This grant will also have four cutting seasons and covers the entire county-owned property of the Val Sereno Preserve. The work will treat and remove 16 acres of non-indigenous eucalyptus species and 150 non-indigenous palm species. They have a scheduled meeting with a private land owner that owns a segment of the creek to obtain permission to remove these species within their property. The amount of this grant is $1,687,000.

  4. The city will cut down 16 acres of eucalyptus? This doesn't sound like the lagoon conservancy. The fire department is now denuding acres of trees? Will this now happen all over Encinitas?

    1. "The work will treat and remove 16 acres of non-indigenous eucalyptus species and 150 non-indigenous palm species."

If all non-indigenous plant species were removed from Encinitas, we'd have coastal sage scrub, wild grasses and four or five tree species.

    3. All y'all complaining about fire hazard with the Goodson monstrosity should be clapping loudest about removal of the tinder sticks all around Olivenhain.

  5. Big question is...are "any of these trees to be cut down on private property?" I didn't hear one way or another so please advise.

  6. OMG- BIAspear hired a new campaign manager! He is awesome!!!!

Now she is going to win for sure and this pretty much gaurentees Tony wins the Mayor race. Its over folks. I hope Coast News or the San Diego Tribune do not see this or BIAspear might leap frog to Governer quicker than a blink of an eye.

I was floored when I heard the heavy hitting message at last nights meeting durinng public comments. You can hear this new PR persons talking points to gaurentee the wins starting at 13:56 here:

  7. Why is no one talking about the purple haired guy who spoke about his fake "de-gendering" surgery on a three year old? What was that about? SO WEIRD.

    1. My favorite line-

"First of all, I am glad you are keeping this plexiglass barrier up here to keep everybody safe from the Corona Virus"

So funny!! Way better than Borat.

My guess is he is going to try and start some kind off youtube following.

  8. Why isn't anyone talking about Roy Sapau and his self-complimentary presentation about the Planning Department a couple of hours in. They have always sucked if you are a single homeowner trying to work with them. They work for the developers.

    1. Sapau is incompetent. 4:35 PM is spot on in their assessment of this buffoon.

    2. I like Roy. He is a nice guy trying to do the right thing for Encinitas citizens. It's not his fault this City Council has given the keys of the City to the BIA.

Watch his presentation and look at the sky rocketing building permits. BIAspear has been successful at converting all of Encinitas into just another LA/OC crappy VRBO/homeless loving beach slum.

Watch the last meeting, besides they awesome early public speakers at the begining of the meeting calling BIA and this clown council out, there was only one nice lady that spoke for the residents on the VRBO issue. The hundreds of others were VRBO developers and losers who gladly destroy Encinitas for a buck.

You know why no residents showed up? Because we have been trained that comments do nothing for this council. Their mind is already made weeks before they enter the meeting. Public comment is futile.

I can not wait to see the voting numbers in the next election. I bet BIAspears receives a much lower voting % in her home town of Encinitas verses other parts of the district where the people do not know her disastrous impacts on the constituents she serves.

How about Oh Joy's comment - "I absolutely love all you VRBO slum-lorders. You fine people people are what make Encinitas great!" Man she is just a destructive as BIA and fat boy Kranz.

And Tony - he is just a fat loser retarded version of BIAspear who openly accepts gifts from developers. I would love to see all the gifts that tool gets at Hanukkah. He is openly for sale.

Roy. He is not the problem. Its BIAspear and the clown council that need to go. Recall Kranz Now!

    3. 7:44 Are you going to start the recall process after the November election, or are you just wimping out and sitting on the sidelines?

    4. Add more density during a mega-drought, then increase rates to discourage use. Crowd the roads so that it takes 45 minutes to move 2 blocks; ride a bike. There is no comprehensive or rational city planning. that uses some ratio of infrastructure overload due to density, so that there is some functionality left. Blakespear needs to be crushed politically - do not allow her to get to the State Senate! She is a proven failure at this municipal level.

  9. When is Blakespear going to address SANDAGATE? Answer - never. She undoubtedly was beneficiary of some of the $2.5 million spent. She has to bury it - no other option. She is not fit for State Senate.

  10. Nothing gives BIAspear a boner like telling people what to do:

    - Do not clap
    - IF you like something, wiggle your hands like an idiot
    - I'm cutting time down to 2 min. per speaker
    - I'm sorry, your out of time. shut up.
    - Shut up
    - Close the beach, when I say so

    oohhh Power.

Tony is thinking he has a chance to have a boner again after 25 years. Please elect me. Tony can not wait to tell you all not to clap and instead spank your ass. Ooooh Power!!!

  11. Oh- Forgot to mention.

Everyone under 18 can get stabbed or be late to their destination for free. Good luck in the sewer.

Lets watch the murder rates go up in the next year.

    ReplyDelete
  12. 11:28-

I forgot to mention that was in regards to NCTD passes for free for under 18. Now you can send your kid out to fight with the drug addicts and homeless. Yay!!!

Another huge waste of tax payer dollars and a sad day for good families.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Where did you get the idea that (a) children would be riding unaccompanied by adults(b) the only people that use public transportation are "drug addicts and homeless"? Surely the majority are lower income, but we aren't a bunch of shitty snobs here in Encinitas, right? Somewhere else someone suggested that seniors should be able to ride free as well. Maybe that would calm yall down?

    ReplyDelete
  14. 12:45pm- Because I rode the bus. Go for it. You ride it and you will see

Its slow, sketchy, and a totaly bad experience. Other than that is great. Lets keep pumping more tax money into a failed system of buses and deisel burning trains with no one in them but train horns blaring at 110 DB driving people to dementia sooner and kids to not be getting enought sleep so their mental and physical health are screwed forever.

  15. Tony efforts to silence the public are almost as great as his efforts to make as many Encinitas residence and children sick and die.

Probably his largest damaging action was to promote and lead NCTD to not only double track through Encinitas without implementing grade separations but also to implement the double tracking and increased train frequency through Encinitas without quiet zones at all at grade crossings like caring communities have done near by including San Diego, Oceanside, Cardiff, and Solana Beach (conditioned as a part of the double tracking and station improvements), and San Clemente.

Now we have a situation where Tony's actions are:

    - Killing people
    - Making people sick
    - making people deaf
    - increasing mental degradation
    - increasing dementia
    - decreasing quality of life
    - decreasing property values
    - decreasing the future health lives of our children
    - increasing cancer rates throughout Encinitas by increasing the diesel spent fuel spewing out by the over 30 trains per day.

So you have to ask yourself why would Tony support banning gas powered leaf blowers with operate at about 70 db at 50 feet, when he actively promoted the increase of train horns at 110 dB which is 16 times louder than that of an gas powered blower? 16 times as loud!!!! You know why? Tony is a horrible leader and very damaging to our health.

Additionally, the train blasts do nothing to protect deaf people including all of us who are deaf from Tony's actions. They are completely unnecessary and at a minimum quiet zones should been constructed prior to the increase in any train service from NCTD.

Tony is actively killing people and our future in Encinitas. Recall Kranz Now.

    2. 3:37- not that you will understand but the railroad tracks are not the problem. I have walked over those railroad tracks for over 38 years without any incident. Thousands cross the tracks a day to get to the coast line. It’s much safer than walking on the street.

It’s Tony Kranz’s mission that resulted in NCTD to increase the train traffic and associated horn blaring.

TONY is at fault for destroying public health in Encinitas.
