Encinitas crime rate rises much faster than region’s

Coast News:
Largely due to a surge in property crimes, the overall crime rate in Encinitas increased by 31% in 2021, according to SANDAG’s latest crime report released on Tuesday.

According to the report, crime throughout San Diego County rose by 9% between 2020 and 2021, with violent crime increasing by 8% and property crimes rising by 9% (Violent crimes were categorized as homicides, rapes, and aggravated assaults. Property crimes included robberies, residential burglaries, larceny, and motor vehicle theft).

While the city’s violent crime level rose by just 2% — below the regional average — property crimes increased by a whopping 37% in 2021, the data showed.

  1. Well of course crime is sky rocketing and went up over 30% in one year! Not shocking and thats what happens when you hand the keys to the BIA and welcome all the homeless of the world to free/paid living in Encinitas. Thank you Kranz for making it legal for all the homeless to sleep in their cars on any public street. You are a great man!

Watch the planning presentation and look at the sky rocketing building permits. BIAspear has been successful at converting all of Encinitas into just another LA/OC crappy VRBO/homeless loving beach slum.

Watch the last meeting, besides they awesome early public speakers at the beginning of the meeting calling BIA and this clown council out, there was only one nice lady that spoke for the residents on the VRBO issue. The hundreds of others were VRBO developers and losers who gladly destroy Encinitas for a buck.

You know why no residents showed up? Because we have been trained that comments do nothing for this council. Their mind is already made weeks before they enter the meeting. Public comment is futile.

I can not wait to see the voting numbers in the next election. I bet BIAspears receives a much lower voting % in her home town of Encinitas verses other parts of the district where the people do not know her disastrous impacts on the constituents she serves.

How about Oh Joy's comment - "I absolutely love all you VRBO slum-lorders. You fine people people are what make Encinitas great!" Man she is just a destructive as BIA and fat boy Kranz.

And Tony - he is just a fat loser retarded version of BIAspear who openly accepts gifts from developers. I would love to see all the gifts that tool gets at Hanukkah. He is openly for sale.

BIAspear and the clown council that need to go. Recall Kranz Now!

  3. Lets get the Mayor to have a big party in the city hall parking lot with catered food and adult beverages and call it a BLM rally to celebrate her success in this particular subject.

  6. Yawn. this post is done with percentages rather than incident count because Encinitas is a very sleeping / low-crime city. Post the number of incidents and it is clear just how safe / low crime this place is. Speaking in percentages and comparing Encinitas to San Diego is absurd.

    1. You are correct. I came here from San Diego City.
No comparison. Encinitas is like heaven.

    2. Garbage statement. The use of percentages provides an indication of how the trend affects individuals when considered on a per capita basis. So 3:01 moved here from "San Diego City," which must be that "City" near Gotham -- I've lived in around Encinitas for decades and his/her/them's version of heaven is certainly not mine. Crime here is up, menace is up, and respect is dead.

  9. tony - go back to 3rd grade and learn about fractions and percentages. Maybe you can pass 6th grade this time. We are pulling for you.

As a middle school challenge, we will ask you to research the numbers you are requesting and figure out why percentages of population matter. Here is another good example.

    Covid death/100,000

    USA with lock downs 300/100,000

sweden with no lock downs. 181/100,000.

You can do it little Tony! We are all pulling for you. You might even get a star!

  11. Tony's efforts to silence the public are almost as great as his efforts to make as many Encinitas residence and children sick and die.

Probably his largest damaging action is to promote and lead NCTD to not only double track through Encinitas without implementing grade separations but also to implement the double tracking and increased train frequency through Encinitas without quiet zones at all at grade crossings like caring communities have done near by including San Diego, Oceanside, Cardiff, and Solana Beach (conditioned as a part of the double tracking and station improvements), and San Clemente.

Now we have a situation where Tony's actions are:

    - Killing people
    - Making people sick
    - making people deaf
    - increasing mental degradation
    - increasing dementia
    - decreasing quality of life
    - decreasing property values
    - decreasing the future health lives of our children
    - increasing cancer rates throughout Encinitas by increasing the diesel spent fuel spewing out by the over 30 trains per day.

So you have to ask yourself why would Tony support banning gas powered leaf blowers with operate at about 70 db at 50 feet, when he actively promoted the increase of train horns at 110 dB which is 16 times louder than that of an gas powered blower? 16 times as loud!!!! You know why? Tony is a horrible leader and very damaging to our health.

Additionally, the train blasts do nothing to protect deaf people including all of us who are deaf from Tony's actions. They are completely unnecessary and at a minimum quiet zones should been constructed prior to the increase in any train service from NCTD.

Tony is actively killing people and our future in Encinitas. Recall Kranz Now.

  12. SANDAGATE - the $2.5 million dollar credit card scandal that Blakespear won't address. Has she something to hide? Do you want someone like this representing you in the State Senate??? I think NOT!

  13. 7:45am. Broken record. Do you imagine we don't have memory retention of your endless posts? How about something new. We got it.

To think we are on the same page on so many critical issues has me a bit flustered why you repeatedly post the same thing.

Is this the limit of your abilities? Maybe a thesaurus would be helpful. You could change up the message and still make your point.

Thanks for your consideration, although I doubt there will be any. Constructive criticism is just that. An attempt to elevate your point of view by not constantly repeating the same tact that we got the first time you posted the same content.

Thanks for all you do and if you get so bummed on reading my posts, here is a suggestion. Use your free will and do not read them.

Have a great day in spike of all the ear piercing blasts and the diesel fumes that started before 5 am this morning.

"we, the Sheriffs Department prefer the homeowner shoot the burglar, save the tax payers money". I love this guy.

I know at least 6 families in snd around town who know 6 other families who know 6 other families whom very much agree w/you and that sheriff.

The difficulty is now drug ridden aggressively dangerously hopeless homeless individuals that will harm or kill you and your children b/c they are terribly hopeless.
      Hopeless people kill people.

One tip...if your intruder happens to harm you or your children inside your home and you shoot them running out...be sure to drag the body into your home.

This is serious shit man...those with self awareness get it.

  18. Thanks Tony Kranz for yet another sleepless night thanks to your success at getting more train blasts, pollution, and fencing off coastal access through Encinitas while you serviced as Chairman of the Board of the NCTD.

Hopefully Hinze will not be as stupid as you and will think to reduce the frequency of the empty polluting death machine Coaster service and construct quiet zones and grade separations at the crossings prior to ever talking about a service increase again.

Now we have a 12:15am Surflner blaring through at 12:15 am, several freight trains a night, and then a 5:35am blaring Coaster train followed by another 29 throughout the day. Hundreds of 110dB blasts and Tons of spent diesel fuel discharged to our neighborhood. You are awesome!

Thanks for all the noise Tony and slowing killing both the mental and physical health our our community and especially our children.
