  2. Check out Pacific Views website: www:save pacificview.org for the latest Tony Kranz and PV article. I hate to be a spell check nut, but perhaps someone might suggest to Mr. Chatfield that he learn how to spell names correctly, amongst other things. Makes it more progressional. Still wondering how we are going to pay for this, but not my problem I guess. Will let you younger folks figure it out, as I have already saved for my retirement and really don't care if you all want your taxes raised, or your street to be a mess. All I can say is one more time: There were not other bids. When you read this article, or go to Tony Kranz's FB page, he will offer his rationalization as to why 10 million was offered. Sure would love to play poker with him. If he has any money, I would be rich.

    1. I just realized I had better be my own spelling police. Should have said "Makes it more professional." And "there were no other bids".

  3. Kranz still doesn't realize how badly he was played into overpaying.
    A true fool.

    1. Kranz is what happens when there is no civic interest in local politics. He and Dalager can star in Dumb and Dumber To!

  4. Kranz puts his foot in it to a wider audience when his name came up at last Friday's KPBS Roundtable, during a discussion on org difficulties at the NCTD. The discussion starts at approximately minute 17:45. About minute 25:20, you'll hear Kranz mentioned specifically.

  5. Any city that embraces something as visually wrong as The Kook, deserves that politicians it has.

  6. Only Tony Perry asks any decent questions. The board, as Racino mentioned, has no power. They changed the bylaws at NCTD several years ago to give Tucker all the power to higher and fire. Tucker, along with Horn and Packard calls the shots.

Katz is no longer involved with Metrolink or MTS. He would like to take over NCTD and fold that territory into Metrolink's. That said, he was never on the staff at Metrolink, he was on the board. So he's not an objective source.

I worked at NCTD, you can't blame Tony. It's all Matt Tucker. He's a complete dictator, a micro-manager, a creep etc. He was brought in to fire the bus drivers and free up the agency from pensions. He let's people run wild until they disagree with him, then he fires them..Hopefully Tony will step up, it's his chance to do something....

    1. I don't blame Tony K. for the mess there, I blame him for taking exception enough to the general statement "most board members declined to comment" that he felt compelled to complain, then when contacted for a comment, declined to comment.

My point is he embarrasses himself outside of Encinitas, too. Watch the video and see how the folks react to Kranz's remarks.
